Scorched and decapitated, the soldiers’ existence was steadily being erased but not be surprised, that was their duty. The prolific “soldiers” of a horde were “born” as the lowest in the hierarchy. Being the lowest meant that they also were the weakest of the bunch.
Still, Isui never wavered as the rate of movement decreased, finally laying waste to all of them.***Blood ran down that ground as a gaze caught fragmenting bodies. Not a single emotion of remorse was left, leaving an impression to the Knight. Those nerves of steels never allowed for a weakened state of vulnerability towards the sight of a massacre. However the main objective still remained, “find and dispose of the horde’s head, the boss.”Isui promptly swung both swords, cutting through air to remove pungent blood off the blades. The blades’ durability would not be ruined by filth.’Thirty one. Weren’t there thirty two of them?’In that moment, slight movement was noticed when Isui made eye contact with another Abyss soldier, hiding in the large bushes near the trees. It probably was the sole survivor. Having caught that glowing light from the eyes, urged all its instincts at skyrocketing from a nervous state to sheer terror. Even if it could not speak the same language, it could understand the concept of fear within a single glance. In tenths of a second before it could even make an attempt at fleeing, a launched sword impaled its head, blowing a hole into the brain and released blood that splattered following that as the whites of the eyes were revealed.Regardless of how frightening, her method however cruel urged the complete annihilation of all.A cold stare was emitted from the eyes with leaves that soon fell down the ground, branches rustled and the sword flew back to her palm as if commanded by waving her hand. The boss still was not to be forgotten. With one powerful step, she focused all strength into her legs and dashed forth unimpeded. Quickly swerving through, wind would blow at her black hair. The boss was the target. It being the most powerful proved a threat and through heading a distance into the forest, it would show itself. Still, even if the main target of the assault was located, other Abyss could not be forgotten or ignored when seen and the closer into the forest she went, a spike in danger was evident. But having thought so, the difficulty of the task never fazed Isui.Isui’s trusted instincts rang once more.In those split moments, the murky bushes rustled.Without warning, a fist able to cover the entirety of her body in its embrace, a giant clenched fist came hurling down with great speed at the Knight.Immediately, a loud bang shook the ground as the assault made contact. Dust and pieces of the ground were blown flew in all directions like rain. Even the nearest trees shook from their very foundations.Silence crept all over.A cloud of would dust settle. With that, she was probably crushed by a massive fist. Since any signs of her escaping were not shown, Isui would lay to the ground in a bloody pulp. The large Abyss, being a “guard” rammed a thick fist at the enemy and defeated her. But, that was not the case as it would find out.Miraculously, the sneak attack was stopped. Not to mention, with a single finger at the clenched fist from Isui’s left hand.Isui immediately cast a glance at the guard’s face, ‘Did this thing… just punch me?’A contest of strength of power, huh? The counterattack began shortly as she gripped ahold of the thick arm with her left hand with effeminate strength. The muscles located across her left arm and upper body began to pulsate throughout. In response, she pulled down the guard as if it were a child to her height. With a lightning quick reaction, she aimed her right fist and would thrust it to the middle of the guard’s chest, punching it at point-blank range.A powerful strike generated by the one of strongest Knights cut through the air. When reaching the intended target, a loud bang that deafened everything near could be heard. Her fist creating an almost crater-like wound into the Abyss’ chest. With that, the large guard was immediately thrown into the air, flying a great distance until violently landing into the ground with a noticeable thud. With a single punch, the confrontation ended! Therefore, she proceeded with the prior objective, setting in further into the forest unaware that the intended target was closer than expected.Suddenly, with no traces of sound being generated, something was fired. A sharp projectile was launched from the darkness of the forest.Reacting to it, Isui parried the projectile, striking it with the blade of the sword.Isui passed a glance at a now falling object, then peered into the darkness. Strength once more gathered into her legs and she dashed forth, in the direction of the attacker. However not allowing the Knight for a rather easy approach, additional projectiles would be thrown although the barrage was quickly evaded with gracious and agile steps. And finally, she could see it. Atop one large branch, the boss ceaselessly threw projectiles. When noticing the enemy’s approach, the agitated boss leapt onto another tree’s branches, then another, obviously attempting to flee in the opposite direction. No choice, run away! Its underlings were wiped out, so to where the guards exterminated and finally, the strongest enemy came crashing through. It was understandable. Regardless, a plan of evasion was proven null due to that the Knight came within striking distance. Strangely enough, she never retaliated, only leaping up a few meters below it.The boss gave off an expression of pure shock and in disbelief, threw additional sharp projectiles from its hardened skin.Atop the trees’ branches was a danger zone?! As such, it prompted to sprint on the ground after landed lightly. On ground level, a glance was passed behind but nothing other than air with falling branches could be seen.It was in this instance, something felt odd.The movement of its body no longer would quicken, coming to a halt. It was alarmed and to that surprise, its arm was pinned down to the bark of a tree, an arm impaled by a sword. It noticed too late!In aerial motion, Isui coated her other sword in hand while falling with a pitch black substance and swung down.Immediately blade met neck, relieving the head off the body, thus decapitating it.And the boss’ head landed onto the ground.Following the final strike, a large creak resounded. Isui caught the motion of a tree falling down. Not only was the boss cut down, also the tree it was pinned on and in quick succession, the massive tree was uprooted.A colossal tree lost equilibrium, thereby descending to the earth.Even though she would not let it fall, it was large and quite a lengthy amount of time would pass until it reached to the ground.Swiftly gliding through the air, up to the middle of the tree, Isui clutched a hold at the tree’s massive trunk. Once again, with pulsating muscles all over the body, she flanged it into the sky.A feat too great and a testament to the Knight’s strength, a colossal tree launched upwards! As witnessed before, Isui utilized no reinforcement method or anything of the sorts. Her overall pure strength of prior swift slashes of the sword, a monumental punch and clenching a grip to a massive creation was only thanks to her physical capabilities! Unlike a normal Knight, not to mention an elite Knight could even boast such power, using it with minimal effort as there being no repercussions whatsoever. After launching the massive thing, Isui pointed one of her swords at the tree from the sky.Focusing Ethereal energy into the very tip of the blade, a spark was generated. The spark immediately grew in size and light, was emitted and expanded into a large sphere of energy.Suddenly, a loud bang capable of toppling any mountain, could be heard throughout the entire forest, blowing tree branches from afar with hurls of wind. A flash of light with a shade of purple from that spark of light which grew in size, then exploded into a monstrous display could also be seen, accompanied with the wind pressure generated by the explosion.Airoterp. Risse residence. Slumbering in sheets dyed red, his bony arm draped out reaching to the floor with long fingers. Traces of a red dust wordlessly slid off atop his back. The sun already reaching a point at the sky which induced the environment to be illuminated without fail caused an irritable occurrence. Towards active levels of luminescence and steadily rising waves of heat, the countless residents of the city would begin at a hustle and bustle. However, he on the bed found such movement a bother, even if not said verbally. A steady light protruded a glass window next to the bed. Evidently, his passionate rest was set to be eroded from the beginning. Towards bedside, an alarm clock strike at 6:50 A.M. At immediate notice, the alarm clock mercilessly rang as he became aware of an interrupting vibration echoing from the background. Drawing aggression from the very start, he assimilated a sphere of flames which gathered light. Whilst on the bed, he became furious at e
Cai’s attention was furtively caught by a large building confidently displayed towards all from the giant gates of Irisdescent. The gates were no exception, with the sheer size of a staggering height and thickness. Inoyva, heavily breathing sought to rid off excess “weight” on his back, expressing this by passing glances at Cai. Quite evident, Cai was carried upon his back for majority of the way there. The gates to the elite academy were already opened for the commencement of the ceremony. Entering onto the sacred ground, they located a massive crowd from varying individuals, who were rather young as them. They gulped as all those other individuals probably came with the same notion. The next generation of candidates aiming for “Knighthood” made their way into an assembly hall stretching out to unknown lengths. Hesitation had no place there, heading in headfirst. *** With flamboyant regard to the red shade of uniform on us, it appeared as if we were high school students. That
The following sensation was clear as day, hitting like a bombardment of heavy things; his fist on my stomach made an impact that left the others around holding their breaths and contemplating my fate. ‘Shit, this much pain is a little…’ Inoyva’s pathetic form reflected off the headmaster’s eyes, he asked the same question from before, “Name and birthplace?” He was not remorseful after inflicting such a powerful blow to someone half his age. Well, I did show misconduct at him when laughing, so it was a given. ‘Damn… I thought I want going to die.’ Inoyva could at least reassure himself that he would not leave the mortal realm of living. Even still, it was not like he had escaped the dire situation he found himself in. “If you can’t find the words to my answer, then, tighten up your stomach for another knock or two?” Clearly from that monstrous voice, he would catch yet another one of those deadly blows. Perhaps this time Inoyva would finally die. Cai looked at Inoyva with his head
‘Though it doesn’t to have the name on the front cover, the technique it reveals is of a bodily reformation. It essentially uses Ethereal energy to work a manner to permanently strengthen one’s body.’ Well, using Ethereal energy to be more stronger is not something that is actually uncommon. And this type of teaching in not limited to a handful of people in the first place. ‘The difference is, with ordinary strengthening, you boost the explosive action of your body, may it be a single punch and thrust of the leg. For people with a higher proficiency, they can even strengthen internal organs. On the other hand, the body reformation technique uses Ethereal energy as nutrients rather than a quick fuel and implementing a sort of change. It is for those reasons why it is so fascinating. A mere person with this book’s teachings can develop the body of a season body-builder.’ However if it’s so incomparably positive, then most people would use it. Ultimately, the core concept of innate pow
“You know, though you call yourself a capable person, you got knocked out from the headmaster’s single punch.” Inoyva, less unresponsive in already knowing what his reality was, became the recipient of Cai’s constant ranting. In part, she was a close friend that obviously carried a certain degree of concern. He laid witness to peeling the skin off the red apple, within arm’s reach. “I know already.” Shrugging it off as a sense of responsibility he already knew off, but was at a stage of lessening the burden of her seething anger, Inoyva’s voice rang with a happy tone. “If only you didn’t laugh, that would have been a big help. What exactly was that made it so funny?” Inoyva could feel the stinging sensation of being pricked by the edge of the knife. She made an outward expression of seemingly elongated eyes that peered deep within his soul. After some thought, he was quite sure of that she would be in a less joyous mood than before, ‘I saw this coming a mile away.’ The good aspe
I was eternally grateful that she exhibited such profound intentions towards the headmaster. ‘Yes! Crush with all that you have!’ Inoyva released a disdainful smile towards Cai who remained under the palm of his hand. Inoya felt his hands embedded at her soft hair. She found herself seemingly silent at that sort of embrace. Copping her head, Inoyva turned suit, towards the other two maidens with the infirmary. ‘Let’s see…’ Inoyva’s eyes would narrow down, scanning the eager cousin. Despite the fact that she had a short stature, I can vaguely feel it. She has the same composite body as Cai, well not as gifted but is incomparably stronger to most women of her age. Perhaps after some time, she could be evaluated to be a Warrior-class Knight, give or take. ‘That’s actually perfect for me, since one other main aspect I chose to remain here.’ The collective arrangement of security within the elite academy is by far ahead of its time. For those reasons, since the dorms have both genders
Irisdescent. Student dorms, Class 12-C. 04:00 AM. The seasons of spring and summer prompted the sun to arrive much more early than in the cooler seasons of the year. With an appearance of the nearing star, days are prolonged noticeably and mornings filled with darkness are shortened; a female individual walked. Before a usual awaking hour the time when most people would open their eyes, when the morning dew is still white before being melted by the sun’s sunshine, Ms. Relka made way into the dormitory building like a thief in the night. Unlike a cunning thief keeping quiet before obtaining desired treasure, she nonchalantly waltzed in, with a box-like device in hand. Not wasting any time, she advanced from the first floor to the flight stairs and before reaching the first rooms to the floor above, a thing wrapped about her body and appeared to change. Ms. Relka, split her Ethereal energy into 19 clones of herself. Said clones did not share any conversation, only beginning to w
Cai continued, directing an aiming gaze towards the front of the class. “However, through that method, instead on focusing on increasing Ethereal energy, the individual’s proficiency in using their Destroyer Art will increase.” A certain glimmer made the instructor’s face brighten up, “Yes, that is correct. As such, as a Knight, how do you increase the proficiency of your respective Destroyer Arts? By training more! Through repetitive actions of diligence and hard work, a Knight’s destructive power will increase. That is it for the basic concept behind it.” From her lengthy sigh carrying certain emotions, was the conclusion or so it seemed from the lesson. In regards to the fact of the basic concept of Ethereal energy, it was a topic well-known to ordinary people that sparingly used Ethereal energy, even while not be entirely well-versed in the minor details. Drawing a curtain to a section of a lesson, they would have the passage of time pass by quickly. “…” The elderly instruct
