“The Abyss are coming!” The paved earth casually walked on, shook and rumbled as though numerous earthquakes embodied by massive creatures which advanced further, sought out prey to gnaw at. An earlier explosion which broke the silence all around caused corpses to already pile up still before the marching. But, in a turn of events, the cause of terrifying explosion and start of an invasion, the 6 giant Abyss, who despite wreaking havoc and destruction in their mighty forms, still did not move an inch from prior positions, standing there as if they were statues. Unusual as it was, they immediately released “steam” out of their mouth and their bodies began fragmenting. With a hurl of wind, within a second’s notice, they turned into nothingness as if they were not there in the first place. *** From the near ground level, on the streets of the city, the light from the sun finally passed through after being barred by the previous 6 giant Abyss, to reveal traces of blood spread out alre
A highway connected Airoterp to Grubsennahoj, however there were other ways that connected Grubsennahoj to other places. Amidst panic, the highway was crowded with motor vehicles and other citizens walking on foot. It was a sudden event for unprepared citizens. As such, in a span of 20 minutes after an initial explosion, a flood of motor vehicles laid everywhere. Considering how the sheer number of metallic boxes amounted to, walking by foot was preferable, although it would give much needed mobility, outside was more dangerous, too. Ms. Relka chose decisions that could widen odds of survival. Looking beside her, she finally realized something important after gazing at Cai and Inoyva’s clones. “Hey, are your originals here?!” Cai and Inoyva’s clones appeared to fidget slightly as if they were malfunctioning. “Ye… Yes.” “Ah, yeah!” Both answered with a stutter. “However way possible, get out of the city as quickly as possible!” *** Flying adrift, Alka defied gravity. Swirling
After devouring prey, the burrowing Abyss did what it did best, burrowing back into the ground and disappeared. If only he was step further, he could have stopped that from happening, is a thought that would eventually float around his head ceaselessly and torment him indefinitely. Inoyva took note of his condition, the situation he put himself and Cai in, as well as the surroundings that gave an advantage to his enemies with a few glances. After all, the gaze he was so boastful about could let him have an edge in terms of information, but unfortunately his mind was clouded. Unlike in other combat experiences where he opted to formulate the best plan to move forward, this time around, his logic was overshadowed by a sense of urgency. The reason for him to be a candidate, in order to be a powerful Knight at the end, he placed an unwarranted responsible on his shoulders and fought as if tunnel vision hampered him. The most logical thing he could have done was proceed back to city or
What the hell?! Can it reach up here…? Inoyva’s sense of hearing caught something peculiar and almost akin to that of a rhino. Perhaps such a skill was just heightened thanks to the rushing sensation of impending death. From a high building, a sudden fast sound could be heard. His eyes could not keep with it. Inoyva perceived small craters being formed around as if something heavy stepped on and then disappeared. It’s something that’s really… fast? After careful speculation, whatever attacked could not be seen. Invisibility was one alternative to look at, as it lay evidence of that. But the quickness of its strikes was alarmingly fast, faster than he had ever experienced. When Inoyva’s eyes widened a bit, he immediately conjured that this thing was faster than the rate at which he could catch its movements. Proceeding to move with logical actions, Inoyva floated a distance high into the air. There was no foothold in the sky, so he would be secure, but… Even though that was the
Towards the skies! Flying unimpeded upon the few white clouds which fluttered, drifting at the winds of the boundless, the blades of a chopper cut through the air as the airborne metallic creation was directed towards a predetermined destination to where the sight of a massacre happened. It was noticeable, the chopper that is. Whether the chopper carried some kind of support from the individuals within it? That would not last in front of the massive gathering of Abyss. The chopper still could help to carry citizens away from the turbulent land run over by Abyss, but its size could only fit a handful of people in it. Perhaps some Knights decided to venture closer to aid helpless citizens by killing surrounding Abyss in the area? That was an alternative, however once again looking at the countless number of monsters that would have been futile resistance. All of those predictions were nullified. The individuals in the chopper were neither Knights nor individuals tasked with helping
Unfortunately, there was no time whatsoever to linger over what was given, as two proceeding Knights flew closer to the ground. The pair fixed their swords, swinging them to slash at its hind legs with quick succession. A monstrous scream spilled forth from its mouth in proceeding to yelp. The Knights’ prior to slashing the legs did so not by chance, since due to the fact of the muscles and tendons near the joint were thoroughly destroyed. A perfect use of ridding its mobility and dealing a final blow in the process! Being dealt a deadly blow, the Abyss found itself slowing down indefinitely. However, additional Knights neared closer. Another pair different from the previous, flew above and quickly gestured. Ethereal energy immediately gathered beneath their hands, then, light followed. Blazing fireballs shot out from their clutches to a single destination. The 10-meter class Abyss was with no armor, only thick skin all over the body. As such the technique shot at it exploded and
I was taken aback at how cruel in nature they looked in the picture books we were shown as children, of how they could slaughter each one of my closest friends and family. But I was more afraid of being treated like livestock. Bigger and stronger in nature, when compared to the average adults here, we are incoherently prey that has band together to display futile resistance. Regardless, the hunger to kill all of them, to rid them of their entire existence in this world is what drove me to be a Knight. Power which was given to us, to me, gave a rise to hope a countless amount of times. As the symbol of the “Great Protectors” of the nation and its people, I discovered profound pride in my own image. Still, I could not prepare myself for the hell I would have to endure in order to do so. If someone asked me if I regret choosing the path of a Knight, I would’ve answered with the notion of how I should’ve thought about my decision. However, even if I could go back in time and could have
A gathering of more than 20 people made way towards the same direction as them. Thankfully, others were near. Ms. Relka chose to act only as leader of her group, rather than joining up with another. After all, a concentration of people that were of a large size would be more difficult to manage. “That’s fine, let’s move past…” “Wait. There seems to be a skirmish and something…” Sweat quickly accumulated on Nyiko’s face. An expression of fear grasped her when immediately, she rushed forward to make way towards a large building nearest to them and started climbing a flight of stairs. “Nyiko?! What are…” Ms. Relka caught Nyiko’s back. Fellow students turned to her with shocked reactions. As of yet, Nyiko’s actions were questionable, however they ultimately ran in the maiden’s direction and followed. *** Into another abandoned building they went into, climbing flights of stairs until reaching near on what was the fourth floor. “Nyiko, what is it?” Ms. Relka approached closer.
