Towards the skies! Flying unimpeded upon the few white clouds which fluttered, drifting at the winds of the boundless, the blades of a chopper cut through the air as the airborne metallic creation was directed towards a predetermined destination to where the sight of a massacre happened. It was noticeable, the chopper that is. Whether the chopper carried some kind of support from the individuals within it? That would not last in front of the massive gathering of Abyss. The chopper still could help to carry citizens away from the turbulent land run over by Abyss, but its size could only fit a handful of people in it. Perhaps some Knights decided to venture closer to aid helpless citizens by killing surrounding Abyss in the area? That was an alternative, however once again looking at the countless number of monsters that would have been futile resistance. All of those predictions were nullified. The individuals in the chopper were neither Knights nor individuals tasked with helping
Unfortunately, there was no time whatsoever to linger over what was given, as two proceeding Knights flew closer to the ground. The pair fixed their swords, swinging them to slash at its hind legs with quick succession. A monstrous scream spilled forth from its mouth in proceeding to yelp. The Knights’ prior to slashing the legs did so not by chance, since due to the fact of the muscles and tendons near the joint were thoroughly destroyed. A perfect use of ridding its mobility and dealing a final blow in the process! Being dealt a deadly blow, the Abyss found itself slowing down indefinitely. However, additional Knights neared closer. Another pair different from the previous, flew above and quickly gestured. Ethereal energy immediately gathered beneath their hands, then, light followed. Blazing fireballs shot out from their clutches to a single destination. The 10-meter class Abyss was with no armor, only thick skin all over the body. As such the technique shot at it exploded and
I was taken aback at how cruel in nature they looked in the picture books we were shown as children, of how they could slaughter each one of my closest friends and family. But I was more afraid of being treated like livestock. Bigger and stronger in nature, when compared to the average adults here, we are incoherently prey that has band together to display futile resistance. Regardless, the hunger to kill all of them, to rid them of their entire existence in this world is what drove me to be a Knight. Power which was given to us, to me, gave a rise to hope a countless amount of times. As the symbol of the “Great Protectors” of the nation and its people, I discovered profound pride in my own image. Still, I could not prepare myself for the hell I would have to endure in order to do so. If someone asked me if I regret choosing the path of a Knight, I would’ve answered with the notion of how I should’ve thought about my decision. However, even if I could go back in time and could have
A gathering of more than 20 people made way towards the same direction as them. Thankfully, others were near. Ms. Relka chose to act only as leader of her group, rather than joining up with another. After all, a concentration of people that were of a large size would be more difficult to manage. “That’s fine, let’s move past…” “Wait. There seems to be a skirmish and something…” Sweat quickly accumulated on Nyiko’s face. An expression of fear grasped her when immediately, she rushed forward to make way towards a large building nearest to them and started climbing a flight of stairs. “Nyiko?! What are…” Ms. Relka caught Nyiko’s back. Fellow students turned to her with shocked reactions. As of yet, Nyiko’s actions were questionable, however they ultimately ran in the maiden’s direction and followed. *** Into another abandoned building they went into, climbing flights of stairs until reaching near on what was the fourth floor. “Nyiko, what is it?” Ms. Relka approached closer. Ny
Experiencing a feeling of being entrapped in a moment that appeared unending, a young girl’s face molted with a tone of bright red from her cheeks thanks to sunlight touching the skin. To her immediate focus, a single shadow loomed to the ground, henceforth generated by a figure that stood still in the air, wind blew gently around. The little girl’s eyes gazed far and wide, to embrace a figure donning the shell-like armor of a shade of blue, with its monstrous horns that were displayed in confidence and terror. The quake of the earth beneath her feet followed unimpeded as if to break her out of a trance. Seconds after, another quake followed. However, in this very instance, it was not caused by a floating figure, rather another Abyss that could scale any tall building with ease. Another unearthly creation passed near the vicinity, making its way to them steadily. Each step taken was accompanied by a rumble and miniscule dust clouds that developed under its massive feet. Prior t
Upon reaching the very top, silence grasped. Immediately, a sudden “roar” spilled forth from the bowels of the body. Undisputed might was carried with a roar that very well could be heard from kilometers away. Other Abyss caught wind of the monstrous cry. Unlike the monstrous creature, the little girl found it almost unbearable being near, for her ears were covered by hands to lessen the terror which followed. Nonetheless, she knew. Whatever stood in her line of sight was a “monster” that could not be fathomed. As in that moment, she understood that the blue horned figure, stood at the apex of all monsters. *** Within secure lines, the Knights, who aimed their blades previously, retracted in advancing further to assess damage done to their forces. For now, they met additional obstacles not commonly associated with Abyss. “If they’re aiming for our Knights near the ground, it is logical to fly over. We have the means to. So, firstly cutting down the boss should take priority.”
An apparent darkness covered Cai’s entire body. Suddenly being flooded by negative emotions of anger and regret, Cai’s ego was intertwined in a cold display of bloodlust and a sense of madness. As such, she did not exhibit a cheery demeanor, rather an aura filled to the brim with hostility. Later on after an abrupt change, the monstrous Cai proceeded to advance a step forward until reaching the corpse of a white hound. Whether it be displaying feelings of admiration or of great appreciation, death was the final step in all living creatures’ lives, there was simply nothing she could than live on and fight, however… Alka lied in a fixed position. After all, the final breathe of life was taken shortly after clashing with beasts of a demon-like nature. A gruesome death and was filled with wounds inflicted by sharp fangs were the final sensations which were felt, though that was a tad bit bearable than witnessing a friend fall into despair. Immediately upon standing a near distance, C
A terrifying sight spread across the far ends of the land from one side to another side. Fires caused by differing causes such as car accidents, leftover appliances turned parts of the city into veils of flames, accompanied by sunshine which dyed the surroundings in a dark red, almost glinted at a possibility of hell. To coordinate a shield which could hamper the flow of battle, crescent ships diverged from each other a further distance away and stationed themselves atop skyscrapers and other high vantage points in anticipation of shooting down bypassing Abyss. *** As expected, a stomping of the ground signaled at it. Appearing from a nearby block, a 9-meter class monster crashed way across the street. Rather than slowly stomping in approach, a quick sprint was taken in close proximity after catching potential prey from a distance away. However everything was premeditated. Capable Knights proficient in utilizing the ability of the R’hlaza’s levitation and their speed, moved qui
