The steady punches of his mother's sewing machine strike his attention. Carsen was so invested in the sight of her mom kicking the worn-out wheel of the sewing machine that has been there in their house since he was born. Her mom felt his presence. She smiled at her and paused from what she was doing for a while. She patted Carsen's head. That peaceful moment he had with her mom was suddenly interrupted when he heard an aircraft spraying dust from outside. Out of curiosity the child Carsen run to their yard despite his mother yelling. As if Carsen didn't hear anything, he just kept on running, his head tilted looking at the plane above until he tipped on something strange on the ground. It was a shiny long stick that looks like a weapon or a musical instrument. Carsen dusted off his pants and went to pick up the strange object, but before his fingertips could touch it, he heard his mother calling.
