The warehouse reeked of smoke and gunpowder. Fires crackled, casting eerie shadows across the wreckage of what had once been Zachary Gale’s last stronghold. Bodies of his men littered the floor, some groaning in pain, others forever still.

Carrick Gale stood at the center of it all, his gaze locked onto his father, the man who had once ruled over him like a god, the man who had discarded him like trash.

Now, that same man was on his knees, clutching a bloodied wound at his side, his suit torn, his breathing uneven.

Jason approached from behind Carrick, his gun still drawn, though unnecessary at this point. “Docks are secure,” he reported. “Victor and his men have locked down every escape route. There’s nowhere left for him to run.”

Carrick gave a slow nod but didn’t take his eyes off his father. Zachary Gale, the great kingpin, the feared ruler of the Gale Family… reduced to this.

“You look smaller,” Carrick murmured, voice calm, almost thoughtful.

Zachary’s eyes flickered with anger.

The air outside the warehouse was thick with the smell of burning wood and blood. The city skyline loomed beyond the docks, its neon lights flickering like distant stars. Carrick stood by the black SUV, hands tucked into his coat pockets, watching as Zachary Gale was shoved into the back of a waiting car. His former kingpin father didn’t struggle, there was no point.Jason leaned against the vehicle beside Carrick, arms crossed. “So, what now?”Carrick exhaled, watching the smoke rise from the wreckage. “We don’t celebrate just yet.”Jason raised a brow. “Boss, we just took down Zachary Gale. If that’s not worth a drink, I don’t know what is.”Carrick smirked, but his eyes remained cold. “That was one battle. The war isn’t over.”Jason studied him for a second before sighing. “Right. Domino.”Carrick’s expression hardened. Domino Gale. The older brother who had been one step ahead since the beginning. If Zachary was the king, Domino was the prince who had never been content playing se

Carrick’s grip on his phone tightened as he read the message again. “If you want her back, let’s talk.” Jason was already pacing. “Domino doesn’t do ‘talks.’ This is a setup.” Victor exhaled sharply. “Of course, it’s a setup. He’s daring you to walk into a trap.” Carrick’s eyes darkened. He knows I won’t ignore this. Jason turned to him. “Boss, you can’t..” “I don’t have a choice.” His voice was quiet, controlled, but beneath it, a storm was brewing. Jason ran a hand through his hair. “Damn it, Carrick. That’s what he wants! He knows your mother is your weak spot. He’s pulling you in.” Carrick’s gaze flicked to Victor. “Location?” Victor was already working, fingers gliding over his phone. A moment later, he looked up. “A warehouse on the outskirts of the city. No doubt crawling with his men.” Jason scoffed. “Of course. Same old Domino. Too arrogant to pick neutral ground.” Carrick slipped his phone into his pocket and straightened. “Then we go prepared.” Jaso

He should have gotten to her sooner. She reached for his hand. “You saved me.”Carrick exhaled, gripping her fingers gently. “I should’ve never let them take you in the first place.”Jason scoffed. “Domino played that well. Knew exactly what would push you.”Victor lean

But his mind was far from appreciating the view.Behind him, Victor and Jason stood near the conference table, where multiple monitors displayed details about Lucas Kane.Lucas wasn’t like Morello. He was disciplined, methodical, a loyal man. That was why he had to die.Carrick turned from the window and faced his men. “Where is he now?”Jason glanced at the screen. “Leaving his house. He’s got the same routine every morning—drives his son to school, then heads to his warehouse.”Victor exhaled. “You sure you want to do this?”Carrick’s jaw tightened. “You know the answer.”Jason smirked. “Alright, then. How do we play this? Sniper? Car bomb? Something dramatic?”Carrick’s expression remained cold. “No. I want it personal.”Victor nodded in understanding. “We tak

The night air was thick with tension. The streets below Zenith Tower buzzed with movement, Carrick’s men were preparing for the inevitable showdown. Every alley, every rooftop, every entry point was being reinforced. Jason loaded his pistol, giving Victor a sideways glance. “So what’s the plan? We taking Morello’s deal, or are we putting a bullet in him first?” Victor rubbed his chin, thoughtful. “Morello is a snake. But sometimes, snakes are useful.” Carrick stood near the window, arms crossed, watching the city with unreadable eyes. Finally, he spoke. “We’ll use him. But we don’t trust him.” Jason grinned. “That’s what I like to hear.” Damian checked his phone, his expression darkening. “Domino’s already making moves. The warehouse stank of oil, dust, and desperation.A single bare bulb swung from the ceiling, casting long, jittering shadows over the gathered men. Marco stood near the center, his fists shoved deep into the pockets of his coat, while Silas leaned casually against a rusted support beam, arms folded, eyes glittering like a serpent waiting for its moment to strike."So what’s the play?" Marco asked, his voice low.Silas smiled ... that same unsettling, knowing smile. "Simple. We bleed Carrick dry from the inside. Cut his supply lines. Peel away his allies one by one."Marco’s jaw tightened. "You make it sound easy."Silas shrugged lazily. "It's not easy. It's inevitable. Carrick's empire is rotting. All we have to do is give it a little... push.""Push too hard," Marco muttered, "and he'll lash out."Silas stepped closer, voice dropping. "That's the idea. Let him lash out. Let him make mistakes. Then we move in for the kill."Marco stared at him, heart pounding in his chest. The though

Thunder grumbled low in the distance, a warning growl before the lightning’s inevitable strike.Inside the upper floors of the old Salvi manor, Arturo stood at the head of a long table. Around him were faces ... some familiar, some recently turned ... all carrying the same grim set to their jaws. "The shipment hit hurt him worse than he’s letting on. His allies are whispering. Some are jumping ship."A younger man, Gaetano, leaned forward, his knuckles white against the table. "Then we press now. While he's weak. Burn the rest of his operations to the ground!"Arturo sh

The place had once echoed with hymns and confessions. The sun was setting behind the skyline when Carrick Gale stepped into the conservatory of the old Cassaro estate...an overgrown garden trapped in glass and silence. It had once been a place of peace for the Cassaro family, before they were bled out by the De Lucas in a long-forgotten feud. Now it served Carrick as a meeting ground. Neutral. Isolated. Forgotten.Marco trailed behind him, eyes scanning the shifting shadows between the hedgerows."Why here?" he asked.Carrick didn’t stop walking. "Because it’s a graveyard with flowers. Suits the tone."They arrived at the broken fountain at the heart of the garden. The sound of trickling water had long ceased, but Carrick could still hear ghosts in the silence.Victor was already waiting.
