Austin's array-formation pupils had the function of showing him the enemy's weakness and how to defeat the enemy. Usually, with his accurate shooting skills, killing his enemies became a walk in the park since he could simply target their weaknesses to quickly finish them off. None of Austin's enemies who'd seen him use this technique lived to tell the tale as they were all dead. Now, looking at Ezra, what he was seeing was something incomprehensible, something absolutely broken beyond repair. Ezra's weakness was himself, meaning his body, spirit and soul, which were fused together were his weakness. And there were only three or rather four ways to kill him but the fourth option was out of the way because he didn't have the necessary tool needed to kill Ezra. The other three options were quite simple and straightforward, either you were a werewolf which was a vampire's archnemesis and the greatest threat to them. Second, you could be of a higher cultivation base, high enough to comple
Ezra, who had finally escaped into the Wilderness, found himself in an unknown location. He didn't know where he was but continued to go deeper and deeper into this place. Along the way, he caught rabbits the size of a young calf and ate them raw. It was rumoured that the Wilderness didn't have just one biome but many biomes and Ezra seemed to have entered the forest biome which had big trees with lush green leaves, tall grass and all other kinds of plants consumed by herbivores. After hunting and eating many rabbits, Ezra had finally fully healed and reverted back to his original appearance which yet again had slight changes. His hair had now become longer, his body more muscular and taller, his eyes more savage and his beastly ears now sharper and more sensitive. Only his white furred tail remained the same as even his canines had become sharper. He now looked like a beastman who had been through countless battles to forge an iron will. The biggest change though was the aura he e
“Miss! Miss! Please wake up, visiting hours are over. The patient needs to be left alone now.”“...Oh. I'll… I'll take my leave. Sorry for the inconvenience.” Raya was woken up by the hospital nurse. She was still tired and sleepy so she didn't make a fuss about leaving. It had been two days since Chris was admitted to the hospital and she had been coming every day to see him. Even though he was asleep the entire time, this didn't stop Raya from talking to him about everything that was happening in her life. As her life partner, he was the only person she could confide in and the person whom she trusted the most. When she first saw Chris two days ago, she almost had a heart attack due to his physical condition. He literally was skin and bones, hollow eyes and cracked lips. He was malnourished to an unbelievable level and to see someone she loved wholeheartedly like this, it hurt her, it hurt her a lot.…She went to her dorm room, prepared some food, took a shower, ate, brushed her
Lu Zhen woke up the next day feeling fresh and with a clear mind. He stretched his body and wings while still hanging upside down. He was about to continue going deeper inside the Wilderness when he noticed a commotion below the tree.A baby elephant and unicorn were running away frantically, their bodies covered in open wounds and injuries. Chasing after the calf and sparkle was a huge crowd of cloaked figures who surrounded the two baby beasts. Ezra's legs let go of the branch and did numerous flips before making a superhero landing. He looked at the two little beasts with curiosity and once he smelled the scent of blood, his senses went crazy. Every fibre of his body was telling him that if he devoured these two beasts, his strength would increase by leaps and bounds. He was currently in his beastman form so he could still restrain himself from going out of control. He then looked at the crowd that was chasing these two baby beasts.“Who are you and why are you chasing down these
The baby beasts finally woke up the next day but they were still very drowsy and tired from the sedatives which had yet to wear off. Slowly opening their eyes, they were met with piles of dried up beast corpses decorating the ground. Obviously someone had been working overtime to ensure their safety and that person was naturally Ezra. He'd only been able to finally get some rest a few hours ago.The two baby beasts with their wounds almost fully healed were planning on escaping from this murderous person lest they suffer the same fate. They were about to dash when they suddenly heard a voice come from behind. “You're finally awake? You know I have a lot of questions for you and you're not going anywhere before answering me.” said Ezra while yawning. He was obviously tired and still needed some rest. “What are you and where do you come from?” asked Ezra. These questions were very important because it didn't make sense for such creatures to exist on Earth without anybody knowing abou
“Stretch out your hand for me,” said Clara.Using her fingers as a sharp weapon, she split open Afanas’s wrist and massive amounts of blood poured out from the wound but didn't fall on the floor. Instead, the blood floated towards Clara. Some of the blood turned into a red wine glass and the blood left poured into the glass. She then held the wine glass elegantly with her dainty hands and took a sip before closing her eyes, she seemed to be enjoying herself. About five minutes later, she opened her eyes which were now glowing. “What did you find?” asked Dayi.“Nothing.” she answered. “That's something.”On the side, Afanas was sweating profusely because he knew what had just happened. This ancestor had just had a front row seat and watched his life's story for absolutely free. She now knew his deepest and darkest secrets, the people he met, plots if he had any or anything that he wanted kept in the dark. Fortunately she didn't care about all that and seemed to not have found what s
The beasts from the forest turned back to look at who was responsible for this commotion but all they saw was a streak of white light that dashed towards a certain direction. Lightning descended from the sky and fell on the tree, making it sway and glow. The Tribulation Lightning which was supposed to suppress anyone and anything in its area of effect, failed to deter the white streak light. On the other side of the tree, creatures from the snowy area didn't know that problems were coming their way as they watched the Elemental Tree bathe in the Tribulation Lightning. After a few powerful lightning bolts fell on the tree, the clouds parted and the sky became clear. ROOOAAARRR!!!Just when all the Spirit Beasts were about to battle it out for the fruits, a fearsome roar resounded throughout the area. This sound was laced with a thick and terrifying Killing Intent that the beasts decided not to act immediately but watch from a safe distance. The streak of white light finally made it
Lilith had failed in her judgement of who Ezra's target was. From the very beginning, Ezra had targeted his Killing Intent towards not the Fox Clan but her. She obviously didn't know this because she was mixed in with her group which made it look like Ezra was targeting the whole group.Another thing she failed to notice was the immense Killing Intent Ezra had for them. This type of Killing Intent wasn't something that would be appeased by simply calming the mind. It could only be appeased when the other side was completely annihilated. And lastly, Lilith failed in her judgement of Ezra. Just because Ezra had retracted his Killing Intent didn't mean that the intention to kill was also withdrawn. Due to overestimating herself and her capabilities, she'd dropped her guard which led to her miserable death. When Ezra retracted his Killing Intent, he did so in order for Lilith to drop her guard and relax. And when scrutinising her, Ezra found her pretty but much deeper than that, he foun
