"Mother, what are you doing here?" James asked with furrowed brows.

"Is that the way to speak to your mother or to welcome her to your house after how many years of being apart?" Mrs Alicia Smith asked.

"I'm sorry, welcome mum." He uttered.

"Better, now go upstairs freshen up, dinner is ready, for you and I need to talk during and after." Alicia Smith uttered.

James decided not to push it as he wasn't in the mood to argue in the first place but if his mother said anything provoking he most definitely wouldn't back down.

"As for you Becky whatever it was you were saying to my son I do not care… you can paint me black to him as much as you want to, I couldn't care less. Get out of my sight and make sure you arrange the table, it's time for dinner." Mrs Alicia Smith uttered.

"I'm sorry ma'am." Becky uttered.

"Whatever."

James got upstairs freshened up and came back downstairs to the dining table in order to have dinner as he was literally starving.
