The two men were also discussing what awaited them in Garvaran. With his characteristic tone, Gobil exclaimed, "I can't believe we'll be going to the enchanting land of Garvaran! I've also heard the women there are very beautiful!"
Their companions couldn't contain their lustful excitement, their faces filled with great anticipation that echoed in their ears.
"These guys are fools!" muttered Gean from a distance, but his eyes were fixed on Garlan up ahead.
To his left stood a horse pulling the cart that accommodated the two men from the previous night. They were grateful not to be surrounded by the faces of warriors thirsty for anger.
Garlan's eyes appeared flat, gazing silently at the green earth trampled by the horses' hooves. The flowers along the road seemed to welcome their presence, swaying in the gentle breeze.
A challenging hill stood before them, inviting anyone beneath to climb its slopes.
"Gean!" Garlan called.
"Alright!" Without hesitation, Gean spurred his horse forward with bravery, reaching the top of the hill. His horse excitedly took a few small steps in the same place. "Uh..."
But just a few steps further, Gean's eyes were shocked by the scene before him. A red glow accompanied the rhythmic footsteps of hundreds of people, their shouts continuously resounding.
"This can't be possible!"
Gean swiftly moved towards Garlan and the others.
"Leader..."
His voice echoed in everyone's ears, drawing their attention with surprise.
"What's wrong with him? Has he already laid eyes on the beautiful women from Garvaran?" Gobil joked, bringing laughter to his companions.
Unfortunately, Reval's lips refused to smile. There was a growing sense of wonder as Gean spoke to Garlan.
Garlan narrowed his eyes sharply as Gean's sentence ended.
From the edge of their position, the sound of arrows whistling through the air could be heard, felling those behind the fortress one by one.
"Hehehe... This will be a historic moment if the people of Garvaran are nothing more than weaklings deserving of death!" a man exclaimed proudly, observing his surroundings as the entire army shouted and attacked the fortress.
The man called himself Felin. He was tall, adorned in splendid armor. The lion emblem on his left shoulder added an imposing touch, instilling fear in his opponents.
Castelo was bewildered by the enemy's attack. Although the distance was significant, his ears were filled with the assault's sound. His mind repeatedly tried to comprehend what was happening, but he couldn't find a solution.
"Why are they attacking today? Why? Soldier, hasn't there been any information from our troops able to repel them?" He asked harshly.
"N-No!" A soldier raised his voice, his tone also strained. "There's no sign of the enemy weakening. Our forces are currently trying to hold them off from entering the city!"
Not convinced, sweat continued to trickle through the gaps between his fingers, his bloodshot eyes growing sharper as he clenched his teeth, producing a crackling sound. With each passing second, his breathing became more irregular.
Felin murmured, "It won't be long before our troops breach the fortress and do what is necessary!"
Plundering, that word accurately described their actions—taking spoils from those rendered defenseless. Those who resisted would only meet a painful death, and the survivors would be left with life no different from hell.
Crash...
The crisp sound disturbed their hearing, diverting Felin's attention to the chaotic screams. That noise came from the nine o'clock direction and drew closer, accompanied by the fallen bodies of soldiers, their limbs flung high like a storm's impact.
"What's happening over there?" Felin asked in a panic.
A horse-mounted man approached Felin, his legs showing no signs of fatigue, but his breath kept pumping air. "General, there's an enemy launching an attack! They're assaulting the troops on the left flank, gradually approaching the core of our troops!"
"What!" Before he could finish, a louder voice entered his ears. When he turned, he saw many fallen soldiers, leaving blood splattered on the ground. Shreds of flesh scattered about. "This is bad! Since when did they have powerful knights? Is it true Garvaran possesses knights far more formidable?"
The answer revealed itself in a fluttering flag in the middle of a war. It bore the head of a fearsome dragon, a black and red emblem of death to anyone who beheld it.
"Impossible, they are the forces that have been the enemies of most kingdoms!" Felin hastily spurred his horse and shouted, "Retreat!"The troops surrounding him followed this instruction, observing the movements from a distance.
Woosh...
Unfortunately, it was completely futile. Among the terrified troops, they forgot the sound of slashing continued to resonate, brutally splitting their formation.
The sound of the black horses' footsteps faster than most horses, brought down anyone who stood in the way, approaching with a buzzing sound.
Tings...
In a narrow time frame, Felin miraculously evaded death, as if an eagle had swooped down.
Felin gazed at the barren yellow ground, the sun blazing fiercely causing sweat to pour incessantly from his body. "I didn't expect that, even at this considerable distance there would be someone capable of pursuing me to this point!"
Garlan in silent unity within his gaze, his sunken eyelids remained fixed on what lay ahead. The sound of his sword's buzzing cut through the air softly.
"So you are Leader of them all, the figure considered a bloodthirsty knight who cannot be easily defeated!" Felin uttered with a breathless tone, the gleam of the sword reflecting piercingly into his eyes.
Slowly, Garlan raised his sword, followed by his horse stepping along with him. It was all a series of reverberations in the palpable silence.
Swungs...
Felin's sword swung past Garlan's face, smoothly deflected upwards, sparks flying. Then, Garlan's hand grasped the hilt and swiftly thrust it toward Felin's face.
Tings...
A shift that made pain surge through his entire body, the present eyes stared wide in awe.
Everything halted in a silent atmosphere, Felin's eyes widened to the point where he almost choked on his saliva. Slowly, his gaze shifted towards Garlan, from the tips of his fingers to the hairs on his head filled with fear provoked by the intense gaze of two bulging eyes.

A soldier ran hurriedly, every clink of his armor sparked curiosity towards Castelo. His ears were tired of hearing information that only brought evidence of impending defeat each time."What do you have to report, soldier?" asked Castelo, although that soldier's face seemed to carry bad news, he didn't want to hear at all."T-There's a force trying to block the enemy, but their attack has now ceased due to their movements!"His voice became a thrilling melody, his heartbeat quickened, sweat trickled down, and his trembling eyes gazed at his pale empty palms."Which troops do you mean?" He asked loudly."We don't know, but they bear the symbol of the black dragon's head!"From this explanation, someone could already deduce what was happening. The current topic of conversation among many people, the fear it evoked made it difficult for him to breathe steadily."Is this a miracle? Are they truly here to help us?" Castelo's footsteps forced him to show the scene that was unfolding before
Garlan's POV:The silhouette I see before my eyes seems to lead me toward a path often referred to as the realm of the afterlife. The gaze it carries is just like most, filled with a sarcastic air laced with a vengeance."Your Majesty!" The man in front of me kneels, his back showing utmost sincerity as he dares not lift it. "I have returned!""Oh... Prime Minister Gizor, I've been waiting for you!" Castelo said, his gaze filled with delight. He instantly looked at me with hope, and I couldn't understand why everyone who saw me would display this."Who is behind you?" Castelo asked curiously.Gizor stood tall, stretching his hand towards me and said, "Your Majesty, allow me to introduce him. He is the leader of the Black Dragon, Lord Garlan!"A name that terrifies some people. I could hear them whispering various things, strange incantations weaving foreign words. I tried to maintain a calm expression, ignoring what was happening here."Mister, are you truly Garlan, the leader of the
Garlan walked towards the room where his companions were located, his footsteps echoing in the beautifully marbled palace corridor. The price of every visible shape could be guessed, and Garlan's eyes couldn't focus, even if he tries to ignore it, on a painting on the wall—a white horse ridden by a knight in white armor. The epic impression was so powerful it took him a few seconds to move on until he reached the room.Garlan's head lifted slightly due to the strange sounds. He slowly opened the door, and bright yellow light dazzled his eyes, revealing the scene that unfolded.Everyone was filled with warm smiles, thanks to the abundant feast laid out before them. Beautiful women passed by serving food, and every gesture captivated the desires of those men.Gobil raised his eyebrows, his eyes constantly glancing toward a girl pouring wine into her cup. Her body's scent combined with her enticing curves. His heart raced without pause."Here you go, Sir!" The woman said before moving aw
The soldiers always stood watch on top of the fortress, keeping an eye on everything around them. Even the movement of a wild horse would be considered suspicious."What is that?" asked a soldier, squinting his eyes and blocking the sunlight with his fingers held above his head.Indeed, a single horse would be seen as ordinary, but what if the number of horses coming was more than a hundred? And that's what made those soldiers' feelings fill with astonishment. One by one, they shouted to alert that the enemy was approaching.Clang! Clang! Clang!Even the bells rang to support this declaration, and everyone who heard the sound became aware that something was happening. One minute later, panic ensued. The residents couldn't enjoy the sunlight anymore; fear was the only thing that drove them to hide."What's going on?" asked a large man, sitting and enjoying his wine. His face looked annoyed when a soldier approached in distress."The enemy forces have attacked the fortress!" He exclaime
The information always said he is an intelligent and tough man in combat, and now those who observe from afar can only can silent, gazing at what he will do.Garlan gives orders to the entire army, but the form of the command is silent, only a simple nod. One by one, the horses' footsteps move quickly, spreading in all directions.Above, arrows rain down relentlessly, and those present there continue to focus on calmness."Leader, I know you are the one who is most reluctant to interfere, but if we don't stand by your side now, we won't willingly die!" muttered Gean, lifting his sword. Those soldiers mercilessly face the relentless attacks with high speed. They clash one by one, competing to achieve victory. The sound of their swords fills the air, reaching the ears of those standing in tension.Awareness of the situation causes the troops to surround Garlan and his soldiers. They gather in the middle like ants in large numbers, the sharp fangs of every weapon painfully piercing to be
In an instant, the winds of change swept through everyone present on the battlefield, one by one falling to the opposing side and kneeling in submission.Pedro and his troops still struggled to catch their breath, their hearts pumping rapidly. His eyes scanned from west to east, observing the rows of kneeling soldiers. Each one stared at the ground, lips curved and wrinkles deepening.Accompanied by Felius, Pedro advanced step by step toward Garlan. His heart trembled with each passing moment, rejecting the unfolding scene.Garlan's gaze slowly turned towards him for less than a second before returning to the front."I never expected you to do this so easily, even before the reinforcements arrived!" Pedro swallowed his saliva, resulting in a pause for a few moments. The passing wind echoed in their ears, and those two men's eyes remained fixed on the motionless Garlan. Slowly, eyebrows narrowed, and jaw clenched, ready to shout."Now, this is just the beginning!" Garlan replied curtly
Of all the troops present, Gean didn't know why his position was in the worst condition. He had already met a man named Beardius Bairdii, also known as the Giant Whale. It could be seen this nickname was based on his body that exceeded the limits of a normal man, with muscles so large that they could easily crush bones.Instantly, all the soldiers around Bair didn't move; they seemed to have forgotten their main purpose in this battle.Fear had already caused sweat to pour from their heads to their feet; at this moment, all they wanted was to escape freely."So, are you, Garlan who has brought bad news to the entire area?"In the midst of this silent tremor, his voice echoed clearly.Gean's eyes still quivered for this. Slowly, he clenched his teeth, and his eyebrows sharpened."I must not falter, no matter what happens, we are here as a unit that has fought together! And now, we must defeat the enemy..."With courage, Gean drew his sword towards Bair."Huh..." Bair snorted as he obse
Both sides could not contain their curiosity about the aura hovering in the air. Their entire bodies felt amazed by this mysterious power. This was a fairly large-scale battle, but the aura here was much stronger and more gripping than from elsewhere."Hooh... has General Bairdii unleashed the inner beast within him? I wonder who he's fighting against now!" muttered a military officer who was an expert tactician for the enemy, named Badius.Badius's fan moved in sync with the rhythm of his heart, and the unstable aura sent small vibrations to the tips of his fingers. This wind not only made the enemy side tremble slightly but also had a significant impact on all their comrades, especially Reval and Gobil. They were in different positions, and even though their current positions didn't give them a chance to breathe easily, this threatening aura made their hands feel heavy. They instinctively glanced in the direction of the approaching aura, wondering why there was an intrusion into the
