Chapter 116: Family visit

The airlock hissed shut and opened, letting the gorgeous space colony inside. Stepping out onto the platform, John's family's eyes widened with amazement and shock at the busy city hung among the stars. His mother put her hands together and looked up at the man-made sky that mimicked Earth's day-and-night cycle.

Muttering in a tone of wonder, "John, this is... unbelievable," his mother expressed her shock.

John said, "Yeah, it's quite something," with a hint of a grin.

Under a mask of indifference, his elder brother, still full of jealousy, surveyed the tall buildings and state-of-the-art equipment, his shock concealed by a false nonchalance. He mumbled, trying to seem uninterested, "Huh, not bad."
