Sabito's dream had been to change the life of his family and finally, buying a property was his first step of changing the life of his family forever.

He couldn't contain the joy and excitement he felt inside of him just as he gazed around the house. ‘My parents would be excited to see this.’ Sabito's imagination picked out how delighted they would all be. And he couldn't wait to share the news with them.

But before going home… ‘I need a person that would clean this apartment for me.’ Just as Sabito gave that a thought, his System responded.

{Contacting a cleaning agent…. Executed.}

{Sending address…. Executed.}

{Mr Sabito, a cleaning agent will be here in fifteen minutes. Wait until their arrival.} The system said to him.

Sabita sighed and continued to look around the house. Fifteen minutes later, there was a knock on the door.

‘That should be the cleaning agent.’ Sabito echoed inaudibly. He took a walk to the door and he opened up.

In front of Sabito was the cleaning agent.

“Good day. My name is Mercy and I am the cleaning agent that the owner of this house contacted. You must be the cleaner, right?” Mercy spoke fluently just like a parrot without having a stop.

Her words angered Sabito. And the hands Mercy stretched, Sabito didn't shake the hand. Instead he tucked his hand into his pocket and watched Mercy with fury.

Mercy scoffed. “What an attitude for a cleaner! Gosh.” She spoke with disgust and tried to step into the house. But Sabito angrily held her by the wrist and dragged her backwards.

“You lack courtesy, you petty cleaner. I won't let you into my house with the way you just spoke.” Sabito spoke fiercely.

When Mercy saw the frown on his face and the anger in his voice. She glared at him with disbelief. “Are you saying you are the owner of this house?” She asked him, glancing around.

“I do not need to explain anything to an ordinary cleaner. You should accord me with respect whether you know me or not.” Sabito was still very much angry by the way he was addressed and he lashed at her.

Mercy realized she got on his nerves. “I am sorry. Please, allow me to work.” She said respectfully after realising her mistakes.

Sabito swallowed up his pride and shifted leftwards, “you can go in,” he forced that word out of his lips.

“Thank you.” Mercy appreciated and quickly went inside to the work. Two hours later, she had cleaned the in and the outer layer of the house.

Mercy walked up to Sabito who had sat outside waiting for them to be done. “I am done, sir.” Mercy communicated with him.

“Okay. How much is your charge?”

“Hundred dollars per hour and I spent two hours.” She explained.

“Okay.”

“Call your account number.”

Quickly, Mercy called her account number and the system transferred the money to her.

“I have transferred the money.” Sabito informed her.

Mercy quickly brought out her phone to check.

“What?! This…This…This is unbelievable.” Her eyes widened with shock when she beheld the amount Sabito sent. She stuttered to let out those words.

Sabito's lips curved with a half-smile but he remained silent.

“You sent me two thousand dollars, sir.” Mercy’s voice rang out loud with huge excitement.

“Yeah. It's nothing.” Sabito spoke with calm essence. While he adjusted himself on the chair he was seated.

Mercy's eyes were laced with tears and her knees weakened. She went on her knees and held Sabito's feet.

“Thank you so much for blessing me even though I didn't warrant it. Thank you so much.” Mercy's voice cracked out with appreciation.

Sabito felt honoured that he had just touched a life. “You don't need to cry. Just smile and go back home with joy.” Sabito spoke expressively.

After the appreciation, Mercy stood on her feet and left.

Sabito stood on his feet. He went into the house and he checked the work Mercy had done.

Just as he expected, it was sparkling. He stepped out of the house and locked the doors.

He went into his car and he started the car engine. Sabito drove calmly with a lot of imaginations running through his mind.

It took only a few minutes before he reached home. He stepped out of his car and he walked to the entrance of the house.

Sabito knocked on the door calmly.

“Who is at the door?” Came his parents loud voice.

Hearing their voices added an inch of excitement to Sabito. “It's me, your son, Sabito.”

“My son?!” Quickly, the door was opened and Sabito reunited with his parents.

“Brother!” Sabito's junior sister Giselle came hugging him warmly. It was a shade of excitement all together.

Sabito walked into his house and he sat in the sitting room.

“Where have you been all these while?” Sabito's parents, Mr Damon inquired.

Sabito puffed out some breath from his nostrils and he adjusted himself forward on the chair he was seated. “I have been fine. I was tired of this life of poverty we are living and I went to work really hard. Mummy, your son is rich!” Sabito emphasized and he brought out the key to his newly acquired car.

Sabito's parents and Giselle's eyes widened with surprise. They glared at Sabito with disbelief. “Are these car keys? Or are you just pulling our legs?” Sabito's parents asked. Their eyes laced with tears.

“I am not pulling your legs. I actually got the car.” Sabito said and his parents were short of words.

“Come and see. I parked it outside.” Sabito stood on his feet and he took his parents along with himself to see the car.

On getting outside, Sabito's parents couldn't control the outflow of their emotions. They burst into tears. Giselle was stunned as she touched the car in awe.

“Wow. This is impressive, Sabito. I am proud of you.” Sabito's parents emphasized as they gave him a cheerful hug.

“Thank you so much, mother. But I have something to tell you.” Sabito spoke as if it was a dreadful deal.

Damon was taken aback by Sabito's statement. ‘I hope this boy didn't do anything illegal to acquire this.’ Damon thought in his head and they all went back inside the house.

“This house doesn't suit you anymore and that is the reason I have brought it upon myself to change the narrative.” Sabito paused for a while, putting everyone in suspense.

He reached out for the keys of a new house In his pocket and he went close to his parents.

“This is the key to your new house.” Sabito said and extended it to his parents. Everyone froze in shock while they stared at Sabito as they tried to process what was happening.

“Can… Can… Can you please come again?” Sabito’s parents stuttered with disbelief.

“This is the key to your house.” Sabito extended the key to them after uttering those words again.

Damon was delighted and they rejoiced exceedingly with Sabito.

After a lot of excitement, Sabito opened his lips to speak further… “I am moving you out of here to your new house today.” He emphasized.

The rest of the day was a stressful one. Sabito’s family packed all their properties and they moved to their newly acquired property.

On getting there, Sabito's parents were shocked with how luxurious the house was. The interior of the house was lit and the design was magnificent.

Giselle wouldn't stop in admiration of the artifacts in the house.

‘This is wonderful.’ Sabito's parents emphasized.

After they were done for the day and were resting, Giselle went to meet Sabito who was resting in one of the rooms.

“Giselle, you should be resting. Is anything the matter?” Sabito asked her.

“Now that you've gotten a house for our parents. What surprise do you have in stock for me?” Giselle asked with her emotions throbbing.

Sabito wasn't surprised. He had everything planned out already. “Giselle, I am changing your school tomorrow.” Sabito spoke with an air of pride and smiles on his face.

Not when their shadows stretched long before him, cutting off every possible escape. Moreover, he knew how his flight decisions ended. Injured and more punishment than they had intended. His fingers twitched as his sides. Stupid, useless things. His breath turned shallow and fast. His chest felt too tight, his ribs suddenly a cage locking him in his very own terror. Sabito's eyes widened when Jasper took a slow, lazy step forward, dragging out the moment and making it turn into an eternity. “Where ya going, Sabito?” His voice was sickly sweet, almost gentle. Sabito clenched his fists, which attracted another low, gruttal warning. “Go ahead,” Jasper whispered, a slow mocking drawl. “Call for help.
