Just as Grey walked up to the reception of the Weston High Court, he heard Bella's voice.
"Hahaha... Look at the loser. He's here."
Bella and Curt had been awaiting Grey's arrival at the reception, eager to make a fool of him.
"Oh... Really? Don't tell me the shameless fool is bent on taking the step," Curt replied, looking in Grey's direction.
Grey simply ignored them and walked towards the courtroom where the lawyer in charge of their case was already waiting.
Curt and Bella felt no restriction. They followed Grey and continued to mock him as they headed for the courtroom.
"What a loser you are. Though being married to a top businesswoman for more than a year, you're trash. I'm sure the next time we see you, you'll have become a heap of dung!"
"Hahaha..." Bella burst into laughter at Curt's words.
"He's such an ingrate! He was lucky to be married to me in the first place. I must have been an angel when I chose to marry a penniless and hopeless shit like himself," Bella eyed Grey from head to toe.
"Is that so? Why don't you take a look in the mirror and see what an ignorant bitch you are? If you were an angel, then pigs must be gods." Grey couldn't help but laugh sarcastically.
Bella instantly became furious, her chest heaving uncontrollably. Through gritted teeth, she said, "Look, I have nothing to lose, but you have everything to lose without me. No sane woman will ever marry you. You've got nothing in this life!"
Grey didn't want to waste time on this pair of scoundrels, so he went directly up to the lawyer.
"Good day, Mr Duncan. Here are the divorce papers," a young female lawyer handed him a file.
Without hesitation, Grey took the file and quickly scanned the documents before signing his name decisively.
Meanwhile, Bella, who was expecting Grey to come and beg her for forgiveness and have him back, looked on in bewilderment.
How could this good-for-nothing husband still be bent on divorcing her?
"Hahaha... Look at the idiot. He's not even thinking of the consequences. Now, I can see that you're determined to die a loser! You're such a fool."
Within seconds, Grey was done signing all the papers. Bella also signed hers as well.
Just when Bella put down her pen, Grey looked up at Bella with a mysterious smile, before speaking.
"I have a gift for you, Bella..."
"Oh... Really... Hahaha...." Bella was amused.
Was he just pretending to be strong while in fact he was having a rethink? Was he finally going to beg her for forgiveness? Should she slap him in the face by cruelly rejecting him?
"I thought as much. So, you're crawling back to me, are you? Well, let's see if I'll consider it. I knew you would end up regretting your decision. Why are you seeking reconciliation after such a foolish step?" Bella smirked.
The thoughts alone already made her smile inwardly. She was ready to make Grey suffer before accepting him back.
"Hahaha... I can't believe this thing you call a husband is such an empty head! How could he sign the papers, and then change his mind?" Curt laughed uncontrollably.
"I know you have thought of how miserable your life would be without me. I wonder who in this world discards a golden opportunity, if not a fool," Bella spat.
"He he..."Grey looked at his ex-wife, who was still blissfully unaware of her own ignorance. He couldnt help but chuckle lightly and shake his head.
"If you want me back in your life, we can tell the lawyers and they'll do away with the papers you just signed. But I'll accept you only on one condition. That you crawl at my feet and beg. And not just me, Curt too." Bella grinned as she shifted her gaze to Curt.
"You've got to apologize to us for being so rude and mannerless, and then promise that you'll be an obedient cuckold from now on! Do that at the count of two, or else you'll have to accept this miserable fate of yours for life!"
Grey eyed the two with disgust. He was indeed pissed off by Bella's smug expression. How could he have loved the wrong person for so long? This ugly, shameless, vain, and money-grubbing woman wasn't worth his nostalgia.
Luckily, he was awake now.
Grey gave a cold stare. "You know what, you're so delusional to think that I regret my decision. I have no regrets whatsoever about this," he said as he walked towards the door. Then, he turned to look at Bella and Curt once more before leaving the room.
"Don't forget to watch the video online. I bet you'll love it."
He had already sent his order to Thompson just now to post the high-definition video of what exactly happened at the car park on all platforms and spread it as wide and far as possible.
Back in the courtroom, Bella and Curt became curious about what Grey meant. Bella quickly searched the internet, but before she could open the chrome, a notification popped up with a huge title that read WIFE CHEATS BUT FAKES NEW INSTEAD, WATCH OUT!
With trembling fingers and not-so-good instinct, Bella clicked on the link and within seconds, the screen of her phone revealed the shocking footage of her and Curt's sordid affair that day at the car park.
"Ah!" She screamed in shock.
The moans and obscene words that Bella and Curt exchanged that night were clearly audible. This made Bella almost pass out from her seat.
"Oh... No... This can't be," Bella's voice trembled.
Meanwhile, Curt who had also seen the video, turned pale and grim. This earth-shattering scandal could potentially cause a significant drop in his company's stock price. How would he be able to explain to the other shareholders?
"Damn it!" He exclaimed in shock and rage.
"How... how did that fool get this...?" Was it possible that his enemies were behind it? Curt thought, large beads of sweat sliding down from his forehead.
Meanwhile, all over Weston, the viral s*x video of Curt and Bella became the talk of everyone on social media such as, F******k, Twitter, I*******m, and TitTok.
And unknown to Bella, back at Pitts' Empire, many gathered in cliques to gossip. "OMG, she's such a shameless adulterer."
"Who does this? This woman is such a big disgrace to womanhood. Karma has finally caught up with her."
"I always knew she's a flirt."
All over Croatway, Bella and Curt's s*x video was the major object of discussion.
At the high court, people were in disbelief, they also watched the video that had found its way to their phones.
Ugly expressions soon adorned their faces when they found out that Bella and Curt were the same people in the video.
Some brought out their phones and began to take pictures of them, while they passed bitter comments and pointed fingers at them.
"Look at those shameless animals we just saw now."
"I heard the woman is married, she's such a bitch!"
Now, Bella and Curt felt so much shame. They couldn't bear the humiliation any longer, so they hastily left the court premises in a hurry.
However, both of them hated Grey even more.
"That bastard! He's responsible for this. I swear, I'll make him pay!" Curt growled as they hurried back to their parked car. In an instant, the car sped away from the court premises.
