Chapter 46: My Table Again!

Chen Tu lightly slapped his cheeks to alleviate his tiredness. He was more clearheaded than before after repeating it a few times.

With a much clearer mind, Chen Tu started to browse the wares again. Although most of the products were daily necessities or hobby-related items, there are still a few loose herbs here and there occasionally.

The only unfortunate part was that the collection of herbs was too incomplete, making it more challenging to collect enough primary and secondary ingredients for certain pills. Of course, the difficulty only applied to complicated pill recipes.

It was a different story if the ingredients one searched for belonged to the four main entry-level pills. They're respectively known as Grain Pellet, Detox Pellet, Spiritual Capturing Pellet, and Restless Pellet.

These four recipes are considered the most basic ones for those who recently started alchemy for practice. After all, not everyone here had the opportunity to study under an alchemist of Elder Wei Xuan's caliber, like Chen Tu and Qin Lei.

This was, in fact, an attempt from the Heavenly Alchemist Association to ensure that younger talents would keep appearing even without them helping from behind the scene. The approach was good news for the youngsters interested in alchemy.

Of course, the gap between those with opportunity and those without was still wide. And the latter could only rely on their effort and continuous practice until they're confident enough to challenge much harder recipes.

As a matter of fact, even the disciples taken by Elder Wei Xuan were refining these medicinal pills daily for self-improvement. Furthermore, there's no restriction on who can purchase a pill recipe as long they can afford it.

But because the pill recipe and the pill itself weren't upper-grade products, they ended up on the ground floor, peddled by other fellow disciples.

Because Chen Tu was doing much better nowadays, he could afford to spend some of his Contribution Tokens on these items. At the end of the day, he returned to his room with four pill recipes, also enough ingredients to refine the Grain Pellet ten times.

Of course, it would be impossible to refine a pill without a cauldron. And the cheapest one cost Chen Tu fifteen Contribution Tokens.

It pained him to pay a hundred and fifty Spiritual Coins to buy one. Still, the positivity and opportunity to continue profiting from pill-refining convinced him otherwise.

After making a round to his private land to check on the birds, Chen Tu returned to his room. The number of little chicks has now increased to eight. Without a doubt, their number will keep growing as long as Chen Tu continues to provide them with nutritious food.

The next morning, he hurried towards the canteen to meet Qin Lei, who was still waiting for breakfast. The distance between them was close to fifty disciples, but that number of people was quickly served.

"Did you buy something from the Worldly Treasures Pavilion yesterday?" Qin Lei asked while munching on the scallion pancake. To make it taste better, he had his own sauce bottle, which Qin Lei didn't hesitate to share with Chen Tu.

"Yes. I bought the cheapest cauldron from the first floor, a few recipes, and ten sets of ingredients from the ground floor. I've spent twenty Contribution Tokens in that pavilion." Chen Tu answered the question. His hand didn't forget to keep feeding his mouth while speaking.

"Ah! You really bought them. Now I feel guilty for forgetting to tell you something before I left." Qin Lei embarrassedly said.

"What's wrong?" naturally, Chen Tu was curious.

"From what senior sister Xia told me, the elder would provide a copy of the entry-level pill recipes as our daily practice after we learned how to concoct pills." Qin Lei said. "But I had no idea that you would be so decisive and bought them before we really started." he added.

Qin Lei cannot be blamed in this matter. As he said, they're not ready yet. After all, if they're ready, would the elder not provide them with the recipe that merely costs two Contribution Tokens?

Of course, their readiness is based on the elder's opinion. Meanwhile, buying the recipe himself means Chen Tu could start anytime he wants, regardless of the elder's opinion. But at the same time, he'll have to pay the cost himself.

As a matter of fact, although there are multiple departments of profession available here, they're merely the second choice of a disciple. Ultimately, this is still a world where cultivation strength reigns everything.

To a cultivator, focusing on a profession alone is foolish because their future would eventually stop at some point. And when that happened, nine out of ten experts would normally end up at the spot until the last breath of their life.

Unless... They found the second breath to their cultivation, profession, or life.

Even an expert would die prematurely if his cultivation could not chase after his profession. But on the contrary, an expert in cultivation could simply allocate just a tenth of his life to something and could still come out as a similar-level expert in that certain profession.

After all, a career could only take you to a certain point, but cultivation would bring you to the peak. The truth was indeed a bitter pill that was hard to swallow.

Chen Tu was slightly unhappy but didn't allow that to bother him too much. Since what was done was done, what was the point of thinking about it?

But as Chen Tu was about to respond to Qin Lei, someone came over and slapped their table. This gesture gave out a strong intention of causing trouble.

He could choose to be unbothered, but Chen Tu was curious about the identity of this person. He slowly shifted his sight to the person that stood straight at the side and quickly realized that this person was none other than Wang Yun.

Accompanying him were his fellow four hooligans. From his appearance alone, he appears to be recovered from the broken nose caused by Chen Tu.

"Why are you sitting on my table again?" Wang Yun asked. He suspected that Chen Tu was doing this on purpose because they were not at the same table as before. But that wasn't the problem here.

His concern is why Chen Tu would be seated in his favorite spot once more? What else unless intentionally causing trouble?
