Constantine was surprised at the sudden change in the cloud world, but he didn't have time to focus on it. Instead, he quickly ignored these changes and tried to sense that feeling that Ruger was talking about.
It took a while for Constantine to be able to get a sense of that feeling. But after concentrating for a long time, Constantine vaguely felt a sensation that was completely foreign to him.
This sensation was similar to how one would feel when they had a rope tied to their waist while climbing down a cliff. The rope was what tied them to the top of the cliff. With it there, they would always be able to return to the top of the cliff.
That was the kind of feeling Constantine had right now as he tried to sense the depths of his soul and consciousness. He felt like there was a rope tethering him to something far into the distance.
