"Please point us to the Sheriff please."
Devin, the elder called as he led the three into the police station, the baby in his arms, the side of its face pressed to his chest.
"He's not on seat. How can I help you?"
The Deputy sheriff with the name tag, Floyd Marvin said, standing at the door of the sheriff's office.
"We'd love to address this to the Sheriff directly. This is quite a delicate matter."
Marvin's eyes strayed from the baby in Devin's chest to Iseult and Evelyn. As soon as he restored his gaze on Devin, the elder, he asked,
"I don't think we have the time for this. The sheriff is busy with the case of the hideous deaths."
"What do you mean by this?"
Evelyn attacked and Marvin laughed,
"Of course family matter. The state is on cautious turn now. The last thing we want is a family matter here."
