The guards open the hoover fence of the gate for them. Arifin sees the hopeless in those people’s faces.

However, something funny crosses his mind. Instead of pity, he begins to think about playing with their hope.

“Now I’m asking all of you! Any of you, who believes has been acting so selfish this last month, raise your hand. Just raise your hand, and ignore others like how you usually do. If any of you says a word, I’ll tell my friends to shoot you all.”

They start looking at each other first. One by one starts raising their hand with an unsure gesture, seeming to understand Arifin’s point by talking about being selfish.

Oddly enough, out of the 23 people that have been marked as targets by Arifin’s system, only 7 women are raising their hands. The other targets look reluctant to admit it.
