Alex grabbed Mara's hand more tightly as the chilly wind screamed over the desolate field. Its runes glimmering menacingly, the gateway to the Abyss stood before them.

Though they had advanced so much, the last fight was down upon them. Flickering around Alex like a living being, his hellfire abilities reflected the tempest brewing inside him.
