An uninhabited island located on the Sea of Verbs was getting destroyed beyond repair due to the overpowered Word Masters who were having an intense dispute there. Both foes were of equal calibre, thus the destructive battle kept on going for a while until a deciding winner was met.
The Word Master who gained the advantage nearing the end of the heated battle was a formidable Demi-Human known as Inkling. She was a Compass Guardian of the northern region of Vocabular. She was considered to be the second strongest among her peers when compared to her eternal rival and Central Compass Guardian, Blue Almighty.
Unlike Inkling who was an alluring Demi-Human, Blue Almighty was of the Dark-Human variety who excelled in Word Fu Martial Arts. The region that he presided over had the most powerful Word Masters, moreover, dangerous villains. Yet he brought them all together to work in harmony using his indomitable strength. Because of this, the other Compass Guardians were jealous of his influence, fearing that his region might become too powerful for them to handle in the future. Hence why they plotted against him to force him into early retirement.
Blue Almighty battled and defeated the combined efforts of several other Compass Guardians along with their most promising prodigies. Only Inkling among the group of Compass Guardians could continue her heated strife against Blue Almighty.
Inkling transformed into a vast humanoid embodiment of plants after releasing her Ultimate Superpower Words. After her Divine Script activated, the entire vegetation belonging to the uninhabited island became one with her.
To counteract his eternal adversary, Blue Almighty unleashed his Ultimate Martial Arts Script which expanded his bulky character 40 times its original size, moreover, boosted his physical stats by 120%. The island which once seemed expansive shrunk in comparison to these monstrous entities.
Blue Almighty and Inkling exhausted the resources of their Vocabulary Pack to bring an end to their eternal squabble. Nearing the climax of their war of attrition, Inkling overpowered her rival using Sly Powered Words. She brought Blue Almighty to his muscular knees then rip out his Letters of Existence from the core of his chest. Inkling mocked Blue Almighty’s pitiful state as she watched him bled his last words or so she thought.
After Inkling left the obliterated island with her defeated allies, thinking that she had claimed the life of her eternal adversary, a strange occurrence took place. Before Blue Almighty lost all of his Letters of Existence, he used his last Creative Word Compilation to transfer his almighty body into a colourful gemstone that he picked up from the shattered island. His consciousness finally faded into the realm of the afterlife, leaving his desperate struggle for survival to manifest. Blue Almighty poured his all into creating an object that could potentially carry out his vengeance in the future.
What came about from the rare gemstone was the bizarre nature of dual connected objects. A sapphire suitcase as sturdy as the universe, also a dull levitating sword that couldn’t even peel an orange. These immortal objects were given unique life by Blue Almighty’s sacrifice. They created their persona from the vague remnants of his broken consciousness. After becoming one, the rare gemstone activated a weird interface that teleported the new entity to an unknown existence.
Shortly after reaching a trans-dimensional space, the new entity was presented with a systematic trail of coding running up and down around a dark expanse. A mysterious voice suddenly spoke,
“Welcome to Vocabular, a splendiferous realm of word-based attributes. In this world, your daily life revolves around the development, consistency, eloquence and the number of letters saved within your Vocabulary Pack. A new adventure awaits you within this vast world. Based on your predecessor’s wishes, you’ve been given a new life with a Vocabulary Pack consisting of the bare minimum of 100-Mundane Letters. Here is an overview of your basic status:”
[Name: Dam Son]
[Gender: Male]
[Age: Unknown]
[Internal Force Type: Multifarious]
[Race: Not Classified]
[Avatar: Stone, Suitcase & Sword]
[Vocabulary Pack: Beginner (0)]
“What is all this? Where am I? Who am I? My consciousness is shuffled. But… I have this strange sensation of wanting to explore life.” As Dam Son tried to get familiar with his new existence, the mysterious voice spoke once more,
“New entity, your form has been successfully processed. Due to the structural hierarchy of Vocabular, your unusual existence might impede your future experience. I’ve taken the liberty to provide you with a suitable Avatar that I think will give you a better experience of Vocabular. Dark-Human has been selected. Your new Avatar will load shortly. Pre-existing language pack will be updated for verbose use. Please enter the Transportation Graph to begin transference.”
Dam Son entered the required field and the voice sounded, “Teleportation to a random spot in Vocabular has been successful. You may now exit the Transportation Graph to commence your brand new experience.”
What came out of the Transportation Graph was a teenage boy garbed in a dark robe decorated with blue and golden linen. At the very centre of his forehead rested a colourful gemstone that surmised his existing consciousness. His abnormal skin texture had grey cracks and a rigid density almost similar to a stone. In place of his ears were many tall strands that continually received the vibration of his surroundings. Dragging behind him as he entered a wondrous space of mystery was a cumbersome sapphire suitcase.
“Wow, so this is my Avatar? My language creation has been upgraded also.”
The Dark-Human that had just appeared out of a Transportation Graph was strangely observing his created character. After feeling settled with his appearance, he started glancing around his picturesque environment.
“So this place is… Vocabular?”
Dam Son was amazed by the enchanted settlement before him. It was a splendiferous territory formed out of the pages of an almighty book large enough to blanket several hundreds of acres. Tall towers were everywhere, also, flourishing vegetation coupled with floating structures kept hovering by Blessed Pages. The wind currents which permeated the space carried visible letters of vibrant W’s.
“Wow, what’s this?” Dam Son tried reaching for the bold wind that had just brushed past his face but his reaction time was too late to grab hold of it. “No, it’s gone. I wanted to ride on that windy W.”
“I missed my chance.” Finished eyeing his surroundings, Dam Son received a strange compulsion to walk towards the entrance of the beautiful settlement. He dragged his sapphire suitcase behind him.
“I was given life recently. My existence itself is quite bizarre. Somehow I have broken memories about this place yet I’ve never been here before. I think that the gem infixed into my forehead is what causing this mental confusion. Who am I? What is my purpose for living? I’m hoping that I will come by these answers eventually.”
While in thought, Dam Son strolled through the entrance of the settlement, setting foot into a strange world. “I need to accommodate myself to this new environment, but where should I start? Everything is so… confusing.”
A busy throng of people of various shapes and sizes brushed by Dam Son on a paved road. He was nervously walking while shifting his observing eyes around. He sauntered through an area rife with multifarious emporiums; a place where lots of wares were being bought and sold, moreover, the contract of certain services were being exchanged. Eventually, he stumbled over a smithy where multiple Mundane Letters were being mixed into a hot bath of lava by a muscular middle-aged bald man.
“What is that person doing?” Dam Son became intrigued by this peculiar sight, thus he motioned his legs closer to the viewing window of the smithy. “I don’t mean to be inquisitive.” He garnered the bald man’s attention.
“Huh?” With just a glance, the bald man already ascertained Dam Son created nature. “You there… you’re one of them Dark-Humans, correct? Did you come to refine some Mundane Letters or do you wish to purchase some of my leftover Molten Nouns? I heard your kind find it appetising.”
“Huh?” Dam Son was at a loss as to what the bald man was referring to. “Mundane Letters? Molten Nouns? What are those?”
Hearing this ridiculous enquiry, the bald man couldn’t help but reply with a suspicious question. “Might you be pulling my chain, young man? You think that your prank is funny?”
“No, I was just…”
“Get away from my shop if you’re not interested in making any purchases! Damn Dark-Human. I should have never entertained you as a customer.” The bald man shut the smithy window in Dam Son’s face.
“What is with that man? Did I trouble him somehow?” While retreating from the smithy, Dam Son accidentally bumped into a stray floating sheet of intelligent paper.
“Hey! Watch where you are goin,g knuckle-head!”
“Huh, sorry! Sorry!” Dam Son bowed two times while issuing an apology to the intelligent paper. The passer-by on the street thought that he was weird. “Please forgive me for bumping into you mister, ahm… paper? Am I correct in assuming this?”
“Call me Papyrus!” The intelligent paper answered boastfully. “Unlike my doppelgangers, I’m the best at what I do”
“And what is that exactly?”
“Huh?” Hearing Dam Son’s weird enquiry, Papyrus folded the tip of its upper edges into a pair of ears then went closer towards him. “Say, you don’t look like you’re from around here. For a Dark-Human you’re acting way too polite. What are you, a newborn pup?”
“I was recently created so I don’t know much.” Dam Son responded truthfully.
“Is that so?” Papyrus circulated Dam Son observantly. “Well then, you are in luck, newborn. Maybe it was destiny that you bumped into me today.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, I might be able to help you get accustomed to the ways of Vocabular. You see, I am a consistent Guide of knowledge, a storehouse of innumerable data. If there is anything you want to know just ask me.”
“Really? Then…” Dam Son got cut off before he could finish speaking.
“But being your detailed dictionary doesn’t come cheap. If you wish to acquire me you will have to pay just like everyone else. I assume you are already familiarized with our barter system?”
“Barter system? What is that?”
“You really are a newborn, aren’t you?” Papyrus didn’t expect Dam Son to be so well uneducated. “At least tell me that you know what Mundane Letters are?”
“Mundane Letters?” Dam Son remembered something on his profile. “I’m not sure if they are similar but I do have 100 Mundane Letters.”
“Just 100? Is that all consist of your Vocabulary Pack?” Papyrus almost produced a livid seam in its folding. “You’re such a poor fellow. But don’t fret, 40 Mundane Letters is just the required amount for you to purchase me. Just convert them to Q-currency and I’ll be yours for life. This is an affordable deal for you. Other Guides out there charge way more than I do, plus I can offer you the experience of my previous owner who recently perished. Don’t pass this offer up, you will eventually need to acquire a Guide anyways.”
“What do you mean?” Dam Son asked again very curious.
“Are those the only words in your limited vocabulary? Just purchase me then you will know everything you need to.” Papyrus told him.
“Are you sure?”
“Well, of course. Do I look like a scammer to you?” Papyrus showed off its truthfully smooth surfaces.
“Alright, I believe you.” Dam Son knelt and interacted with a numerical interface atop his sapphire suitcase. “Suit can you convert 40 Mundane Letters into Q-currency?” The zipper opened up, pouring out the square equivalent of 40 Mundane Letters in Q-currency which was 80 Q-currency.
“Sweet!” Papyrus didn’t wait for them to be handed over, it swooped down with a vicious thirst then gabbled up all of the resplendent Q-currency which seamlessly integrated into its thin surfaces.
After assimilation, Papyrus magically produced another sheet of paper and handed it over to Dam Son. “Sign here, newborn. This is legitimate proof that you own me until the day you die.”
“Oh? I just sign here?” Dam Son utilized the remaining Mundane Letters from his Vocabulary Pack to sign his name on the sheet of paper.
“Transaction complete.”
“That’s it?
“Yep, so your name is Dam Son? From now on I will educate you on Vocabular’s customs. Hold out your hand.” Papyrus wrapped itself around Dam Son’s arm. It became almost transparent. Many lines of unreadable characters were assimilating inside his body.
“This is…?” Dam Son felt a whole lot of new information integrating with the Wisdom Stone implanted in his forehead. He was slowly becoming more and more aware of Vocabular’s societal construct.
In Vocabular, Word Masters dominated the unwritten hierarchy. They were influential figures who set the way of conduct for lesser intelligent beings. Word Masters were comprised of certain categories such as Word Mages, Word Augmenters, Wordsmiths and Word Fu’s.
Words Mages were ordained to be the strongest among its categorised companions due to the advanced Vocabulary Pack that was required to activate Magical Scripts. Magical Scripts could bend the fabric of Vocabular’s laws to such an extent that it could alter the living conditions of most inhabitants.
All sorts of species resided in the vast world of Vocabular, many of which practised the ways of Word Mastery to gain more influence by becoming higher on the unwritten hierarchy.
Word Augmenters shared a close similarity to Word Mages. The only difference was that they utilized Blessed Weapon Scripts which needed at least an intermediate Vocabulary Pack to initiate.
Wordsmiths were the refiners of Mundane Letters, turning them into powered verbs, nouns or adjectives that were required for script activation. Mundane Letters were the common source of a Word Masters’ Vocabulary Pack. These were the fundamental letters that most Powered Scripts were generated from. Wordsmiths were necessary importance for Vocabular’s unique development.
As for Word Fu Masters, many classed them as basic or non-essential Scripters who mostly depended on the modification of their bodies using Martial Arts Scripts to fight. Most beginners of Vocabular gravitated towards this category if they didn’t own the necessary intermediate or advanced Vocabulary Pack needed to learn the other classes.
Dam Son was learning a wide array of other things but his downloading of knowledge was cut short when his Papyrus ran out of batteries suddenly. Its folding came undone from Dam Son’s arm.
“Ahf! Ahf! I can’t continue the quick upload anymore… my stamina is running low. Newborn you need to refill me with sustenance for me to share quickly attempted knowledge. Otherwise, you will just have to learn in increments, which isn’t so bad either.”
Dam Son stared at Papyrus who curled upon his shoulder, looking haggard and pale. “You look really depleted. What do you need to recharge your batteries?”
“Letters Ink. You can find them at any Guide Maintenance Store. But you are currently unfit to purchase any.”
“Huh, why is that, Papyrus?”
“Why do you think, newborn? You’re too doggone poor to afford anything essential in Raixom territory. The basic Letters Ink cost 300 Q-currency. If we convert your remaining 54 Mundane Letters, it will only come out to 108 Q-currency. See what I mean? First, you need to upgrade your Vocabulary Pack’s Mundane Letters.”
“You must have a brilliant idea to do so, right Papyrus?” Dam Son depended on his leafy friend for answers.
“Of course I do! It is my duty to aid my master in the best way possible.” Papyrus replied with a tout air of hubris. “The best way for you to evolve your Word Mastery is to join one of Vocabular’s renowned academies. There so happens to be a competent academy here in Raixom. Follow me, I’ll show you.” Papyrus hovered off Dam Son’s shoulder then began showing him the way.
“Alright!” Dam Son was excited to broaden his horizon by learning the intricate ways of Vocabular.
“Wow! That over there is so cool. And what is that floaty thing? Amazing!” Whilst following Papyrus, Dam Son’s Wisdom Stone was over enlightened by the array of new discoveries he came across in town. His Dark-Human Avatar was laden with excitement.“Okay, cool it, newborn. You look like some genuine country bumpkin.” Papyrus had to slap Dam Son’s head with its folds to have him settle down his excitement. “We’re almost at the place. Let’s go over there.”“Huh, isn’t that a transport terminal?” From the prior knowledge he downloaded from Papyrus’ database, Dam Son recognized the fancy transport terminal nearby. “Why are we going there?”“To charter a taxi. The fees are cheap so don’t worry.” Papyrus led the way inside the transport terminal. A lot of basic scripts were floating around the interior. The vehicles which were neatly aligned by the stations were all variations of special books large enough to transport at least 4 persons. “We don’t need one with a lot of room since it is
“Yeah! The next match is about to begin! I’m looking forwards to this one. The Demi-Human chick who won the last round was on fire! Her fighting style is so lit!”“Damn right it is!”“Right! Right! She is the best of Block-C!”Many spectators who were gathered around the arena anticipated the match that was about to take place on the centre stage of Block-C. Dam Son was among the forefront of the participating audience who surrounded the stage.“From here I will get to see what a battle between Words Masters is like. Papyrus make sure that you record everything okay.”“Yes, you told me before. I’ve already started recording, though I’m not sure as to how much footage I can store.” Papyrus had a reflective page taking stock of the environmental proceedings, mostly the impactful events.“Applicant-562, Lonely Pussycat and Applicant-600, Cinder Burn! Please come up on stage!” The referee of Block-C called for the next participants to come up.From opposing ends, two young women walked o
“Woo! Yeah, baby! Yah! Yah!” An exciting participant was making his voice heard on stage. His elation was brought about after dominating his 4th opponent.“We have a winner! Applicant-577 has won his 4th admission match. Thus he has earned the right to study at our academy. Here is your stamp of approval.” The referee stamped a special symbol on Applicant-577’s Papyrus. Please head over to the judges’ counter to collect your entrance package.”“Yes, I’m going there right away! Woo-hoo! I’m so fricking awesome! Raixom Academy here I come!”Now that the winner had left the stage the referee called for the remaining combatants to fight until their numbers dwindle. “For the next match, Applicant-620, Dam Son and Applicant-599, Xuan Li, please come up!”Hearing his name being called by the referee’s boisterous voice, Dam Son felt a shiver of nervousness trickle down his robust countenance. “It’s finally my turn to start.” Dam Son picked up his sapphire suitcase then motioned up the stage.
The Stage which Dam Son partially broke to chunky pieces had already been repaired sturdier by an expert Wordsmith. Many other battles took place before it was finally Dam Son’s time again to fight.“Applicant-620, Dam Son and Applicant-613, Balloona! Please come up!” The referee waited until both participants were on stage before starting the match. “Begin!”Dam Son’s opponent this time was a chubby Demi-Human girl who almost fitted perfectly when compared to a beach ball.“She is a Word Mage. This battle might be even more fun than the last one.” Dam Son was genuinely excited to face off against a powerful opponent. “Hey Papyrus, how many Martial Arts Powered Letters do I have left? I wonder if ‘Smash’ will even work against her.”“You have only 5 Martial Arts Powered Letters remaining. The Basic Word Fu Script, ‘Smash’ can only be utilized one last time.”“I see. Then I better conserve it until I desperately need to use it.”“I agree. Your body is strong enough to absorb a couple o
Dam Son sat on a participant’s bench near the stage to regain his depleted stamina. “Suit I’m thirsty.” As he spoke, a small Noun Script slipped out of the opening of Dam Son’s sapphire suitcase which transformed into a large bottle of fragrant water.“Ahh! That hit the spot.” Dam Son wiped away some trickling droplets from his lips then exuded a low belch. Glancing around, Dam Son realized something. “Hey, Papyrus there aren’t that many participants left in Block-C.”“Well, the administrators stop accepting new applicants a while back since it is getting closer to dusk. That’s why there are fewer people. Most of who you see here have already won more than one battle. Just one lost and all of their efforts will be wasted.”“I disagree with you Papyrus, I’ve learnt so much from these previous bouts.”“Of course, you would say that. You are a newborn after all.” As Dam Son continued conversing with his floating Papyrus, the referee hopped on stage then called out the next combatants. “
Due to Dam Son’s swift victory over Cinder Burn, his next and final opponent didn’t show much promise. That Demi-Human was too intimidated to throw a punch. Hence Dam Son defeated him with ease, becoming the victor of his 4th match.“Winner! Applicant-620 has earned the right of enrolment!” The referee came over to Dam Son and stamped a unique symbol on his Papyrus. “Go to the judges’ counter to collect your entrance package. The stamp I gave you will validate your 4 victories and grant you access to Raixom Academy.”“Oh, thanks!” Dam Son hopped off the stage in elation with Papyrus following his shadow.“Congratulations, newborn. You weren’t so bad for your first time in combat.”“It was that Copy Script that helped me get accustomed to the feel of combat faster. Will I be able to use it again if I have more MAPL (Martial Arts Powered Letters)?”“Yes, but with some limitations.” Papyrus answered. “Each script that you currently have are Basic Immortals. This means you can reuse them
For 2 consecutive nights, Dam Son spent his time training in the forest. The nocturnal creatures had to vacate that specific clearing to avoid Dam Son’s destructive radius. During the daytime, he would go into town to get familiar with Vocabular’s construct. Each day was a brilliant learning experience for him.Now that the day had come for Raixom Academy’s admittance, Dam Son chartered a Book Vehicle to carry him there. It was located in the central region of the city where a massive milky globe was present. Surrounding that globe were multiple gigantic arcane scripts. Other lavish buildings and memorial landmarks were also near the area.“Wow, look at that rotating orb.” Dam Son arrived at the central transport terminal with mouth agape and excitement loose. The moment he stepped outside the building, he laid eyes on a globular splendour above. “So that right there is Raixom Academy?”“Technically the academy is inside there. You see those massive scripts oscillating the globe?” “Th
Dam Son walked through the exit of Caromine Institute with his heavy sapphire suitcase dragging leisurely behind him. “Whew, that orientation was really helpful in getting me accustomed to things, but there is still so much I’ve yet to learn about this academy.”“Indeed.” Papyrus replied with a fold of his pages. “Remember what that sexy teacher said about the products being cheaper here? Why don’t we go to one of the marketplaces to check out their stuff? Who knows, you might be able to get me that Letters Ink that we talked about.”“That’s a brilliant idea, Papyrus. I can explore on my way there. This place is so vast and beautiful. I want to take all of it in.”Dam Son started running along the expansive streets of Raixom Academy. It was safe to say that this place was likened to a compact city rather than a normal school solely designated for learning. Many activities and events were taking place all around, even at night this academy never sleeps. Need I remind you that this was
After a hard day of training, Dam Son, Xuan Li and Sugar Bun washed their bodies clean inside Jin Hennessy’s soothing onsen. This was the first time he had ever allowed them to bathe there, this meant he was beginning to warm up to them despite his abrasive demeanour.Finished washing up, the students got dressed then prepare to leave for the Tower of Residence. Coming down the flight of stairs protruding the mountainside, Dam Son conversed with his companions about the perks of their training. Eventually, their conversation shifted to something else.“Did you guys hear about the new arcade that recently opened up in the adjoining complex of the Page Coliseum?”“I knew that long before you did, turtle.”“This is the first time I’m hearing about it.” Dam Son was clueless. “What is an arcade?”Sugar Bun answered. “It’s a cool place that has lots of fun games to play. Recently it has turned into the new hotspot for bored students. A fellow classmate told me that the arcade has imported u
On his way outside the laboratory, Dam Son walked by a dark-robed stranger who glanced at him menacingly. “Ouch, my head.” He felt a slight pain emerging from his forehead but it subsided the moment he went by the dark-robed man.“Hmm…” The dark-robed man stopped at the laboratory’s entrance to stare back at Dam Son’s fading presence. Looking down at the Blue Kismet Coin in his palm, he thought internally, ‘Did my coin just react out of impulse just now or…?’ Not lingering too much on what he felt earlier, the dark-robed man entered the laboratory.“Huh?” Turning his head to identify the intrusive presence, Vor Eyes recognized who it belonged to, “Brother your back? One of these days you’re going to give me a heart attack if you continue sneaking up on me like that.”Getting straight to the point, Tor Eyes asked his little brother, “Who was that kid I saw coming out just now?”“Oh, that’s the friend I spoke to you about last night, remember?”“Friend? Is he a classmate of yours?”“No,
Finished aligning the refined Mundane Letters in their respective chambers, Vor Eyes step aside so that Dam Son could admire their beauty. “So, what do you think about the refinement procedure, wasn’t it fun?”“Indeed it was. Watching you go to work like that was even better to look at. I can’t imagine how long it must have taken you to get so good at refining Mundane Cores.”Vor Eyes blushed, “It didn’t take me that long to learn. How about you Dam Son, want to try? I have more Mundane Cores chilling in the refrigerator.”Dam Son pondered Vor Eyes' offer for a while before he answered, “You bet I would. I came here with that reason in mind after all.”“Okay!” Vor Eyes became excited to instruct his new friend. “I’m going to go grab another one from the refrigerator. You can get settled around the desk until I get back.”“Alright.” Dam Son motioned closer towards the workbench. As he was about to sit down, his sapphire suitcase became all tingly. “Suit, what’s the matter?” It responde
Vor Eyes workstation had a particular beauty to it that impressed Dam Son. It wasn’t that big but it had enough space to accommodate certain essential equipment needed for Wordsmiths to flourish. By the main desk was an array of newly developed booklets seamlessly intertwined with a series of portable Arcane Baths. Many thick tubes connected to these booklets ran directly into a larger immovable Arcane Bath located in the centre of the workstation. That was where the finished creation would usually emerge. As he began the process of walking Dam Son through the refining of Raw Mundane Letters, Vor Eyes elaborated on the various tools, tips & trades he would be utilizing. He went over to a storage cabinet where Raw Mundane Letters were being refrigerated. “This is what they actually look like before processing.”“Wow, interesting. I’ve never seen one this close up before.” After Vor Eyes brought the Raw Mundane Letter closer, Dam Son admired it closely. It was comprised of a spherical g
The fiery rock monster no longer terrorised Raixom Academy’s central hub due to the combined efforts of 4 valiant students. Later that night, Dam Son along with the rest of his classmates were all released from Raixom Academy Campus Station after being subjected to a series of questioning. The head of the guards was an intimidating individual who knew how to squeeze the correct answers from those he interrogated. This being Vor Eyes' first offence, they allowed him to walk with a proper warning.“Guys, you’re finally out.” Coming outside, Dam Son and the others who were previously held captive saw Sugar Bun and Trish waiting for them at the entrance. “What took you all so long?”“Cut the chitchat Trish. We’re heading back.” Cinder Burn led the way for her crew. Together, the Leaf Widows journeyed to the Tower of Residence.Sugar Bun went over to Xuan Li and asked, “So, how did it go inside?”“Tsk, they asked us a bunch of annoying questions. It’s a good thing you didn’t join us earlie
The fiery rock monster that was wreaking havoc on the central marketplace became more vicious in its onslaught. Aside from spitting molten rocks everywhere, it fed on the earth’s surface by combining with the rocky properties to increase its size. Now it was towering over 50 metres long.“Rock Fan, stop it! You’re destroying my place of study!” A concerned stubby boy sporting 4 sets of monocles on his face came rushing towards the fiery rock monster with a particular device in his hand that hosted a portable Arcane Bath. He constantly tapped the moist interface, trying to get his invention to respond.“No! No! No! It’s not responding. The link must have gotten cut off somehow.” The boy looked worried. “What should I do? If the campus guards get here before I can stop Rock Fan’s malfunctioning behaviour then they will destroy its core. I can’t allow that to happen.” The boy couldn’t wait for his invention to be obliterated. He decided to take matters into his own hands to curtail the d
The rematch involving Dam Son and Cinder Burn ended in the garden. Cinder Burn emerged the victor, yet she was still displeased by the outcome. “My thirst for vengeance won’t be satiated until I defeat that kid I suppose.” Finally, she withdrew her foot from Dam Son’s chest; allowed him to get up then walked away toward her friends.“It’s about time. I thought you were going to stand on me forever.” Saying this, Dam Son helped himself up from the ground. At the same time, his friends came over to assist him.“I knew you were going to lose. There was no way you could beat that girl in your weakened state.” Sugar Bun checked Dam Son’s body for injuries, “You’re not badly injured are you?”“I can manage.” Dam Son was hurting pretty badly but he shrugged it off as nothing.“I can’t believe you came out of that unscathed, your toughness is truly amazing.” Xuan Li also assisted Dam Son to his feet.Smilingly, Dam Son replied, “I survived because she went easy on me. It appears both of us we
Dam Son, Xuan Li and Sugar Bun were on their way to the Tower of Residence to get cleaned up after a hard day of training. They were walking through the streets completely soaked in the nutritious water from the Sea of Verbs.“Whew, Master Jin really knows how to work us to a tired tail.” Sugar Bun sighed. He felt more haggard when he reflected on the arduous training he had just been through.“At least the geezer gave us a break this time around. It wasn’t as hard as the mountain climbing training.” Though he was also tired, Xuan Li was excited to have learnt the very basics of manifesting Natural verb Force. “The fish training wasn’t all that bad.”“You’re only saying that because you’ve reaped a lot of benefits.” Dam Son told him. “So what if did? Soon I will surpass you Dark-Human, so you better prepare yourself.”“I don’t view that as a problem, surpass all you want.” Saying this, Dam Son willingly slowed his speed to allow Xuan Li to walk ahead of him.“Hey, what do you think y
Within Caromine Institute at the Word Augmenter training facility, Ms Ever Moist was educating Cinder Burn about the fundamentals of successfully manifesting Nounal force. They trained side by side each other mimicking each other’s movements. So far, Cinder Burn was grasping a little of the basics.Nounal Force was quite similar to Natural Verb Force. Both of them were innate elements that stemmed from a certain increase and influx of a Word Master’s inherent Letter Force. What separated the two are their structural application. In short, Natural Verb Force mostly involves manifestation around the body while Nounal Force has to do with boosting a weapon’s capabilities. Trying to crisscross the two would result in an unstable result of element pronunciation.“I think I’m getting the hang of it now.” Cinder Burn followed each step taught to her by her teacher. While rousing a partial property of her Letter Force, she maintained her focus on the Augmented Weapon. Moments later, she began
