Chapter 45: Proposal Received

The door opened softly, its hinges creaking quietly. Linda Newman walked in, a lady in her early 30s with blonde hair flowing down to her waist.

Linda walked straight to Fischer, who was at his desk, fingers flying over the keyboard as he worked intently on his desktop.

"Good morning, sir," Linda said, bowing slightly as she held the envelope she had tucked under her arm. "This is from Parkland, sir. It says it's a proposal to the president."

Fischer glanced at her for a moment, then gestured for her to hand over the letter.

"It's a sealed letter, sir," Linda said as she saw Fischer trying to check it out.

"I know," Fischer responded as he began to tear the letter open.

He pulled out the letter and started to read, his expression changing from curiosity to seriousness as he scanned the contents.

Linda stood there, waiting quietly. She noticed how Fischer's brows furrowed as he read, his face reflecting deep thoughts.

"What does it say, sir?" Linda asked softly.
