Chapter 26: Curiosity

The calm atmosphere inside the school suddenly turned tense. The walls shook, and the floor trembled beneath the students' feet. The heavy vibrations didn’t escape anyone’s attention. Some students, who were in classrooms or the hallways, paused, exchanging confused and anxious looks.

“What’s happening?” asked one student, holding onto a shaking door.

“An earthquake, maybe?” replied another, uncertain. But they all knew that this was strange; it felt more like strong impacts, not a typical earthquake.

Panic-stricken screams began to echo from different directions, and in an instant, the school was in chaos. Students ran out of their classrooms, leaving their books and bags behind, focusing only on getting themselves to safety. The hallways filled with hurried footsteps, anxious faces, and whispers of fear that spread like wildfire.
