It was a sunny friday afternoon. Murdoch went o do groceries. He was recuperating very fast. It was thought that he would need a walking stick to walk but he was doing well. Miranda was there to make things easy for him. Miranda was a fitness coach. So Murdoch did not need to hire anyone to help him in that aspect. Ever since the attempt on his life, Murdoch had become very security conscious. He took note of every and anyonewho came into his space. He did not want to be caught on awares again like the last time. He had no fighting skill but being aware of people around you will make someone be able to act in time to prevent any misfortune.Murdoch always enjoyed doing the groceries because this was one of the times he was not working on any case. This was one of the times he was relaxed. As he got to the section where you had the cereals he noticed a man who was looking at him. He looked at the man's cart but he was yet to buy anything becaue the cart was empty. Murdoch ignored him
It was four in the afternoon and it was time for Ben to go home. They had finished for the day. "I hope today you learnt something." Green asked Ben. "Most certainly." He answered gleefully. Ben was starting a phase in his life that he never thought possible. He looked back at what he had back home in the U.K. and what he wastrying to have or build here, and he came to the conclusion that his life would get better from here on out.Ben met the other workers in the department. They all appeared nice except one of them who appeared as if he was fed up with life. He complained about the country. He complained about the fact that he should be in a better place if the country made better provision for them. He was acting like a sadist. Ben was not expectingto meet someone like that here. He believed that anyone who found himself here should count himself lucky to be in such a position. Ben did his best to avoid the man. Ben later got to know that he was pained because his fiancee left hi
"You never told me you had an uncle." Murdoch said. "I just found out about him. I did not know him until last week." Miranda said. "Okay! But you would have given me a heads up that you were coming here with him." Murdoch said. "I am sorry love, I just wanted to give you a surprise." She said and went over to give him a kiss."Is he staying for dinner? Murdoch asked her. "I am not sure. I think he has to be somewhere." She said. "I am Murdoch. What is your name?" Murdoch said. "I can see that my niece has forgotten her manners. She did not even bother to introduce us properly." The uncle said. "Uncle! Why are you talking like that?" She said to the uncle while She still hugged Murdoch."Please pardon her. I know that she can be very naughty in her demeanour." Murdoch said. "Really! So you have joined my uncle in bad mouthing me." Miranda said. "Please you can call me, Sasha." Miranda's uncle said. "Yes! That is uncle Sasha." Miranda exclaimed."What a unique name. Where are you from?'
"It seems things are already resolved right now for you. As for me I still have a score to settle with Rose." Shelly said. Jackson looked at her as they arrived in her house. Shelly lived alone in a flat that was too big for her. It was a a three bedroom flat which was modestly furnished for a single lady. "Is that what you think?" Jackson said. Shelly did not know what to say or how to respond to what he said."I only thought that with no other threats around me you might want to go back to the life you had before you met me." Shelly said. "As long as I am concerned, you still need protection and I am the only one that can lay my life to protect you." He said. "Wow! My night in shiny armour." Shelly said playfully. Shelly was not expecting what he said. Infact Shelly did not mean it when she said that Jackson could go back to the life he had before he met her."Why do you think I need protecting? Have I not been doing a good job of protecting myself?" She said and a smile played on h
It was late in the night and Ben could not see where he was going to. It was pitch black. "Where the hell I am." he asked himself. Obviously no answer came to him. He groped around in the dark trying to find his way around. His hands finally touched the wall. He started to search if there was a switch on the wall. He found none. All of a sudden a door opened and there was a flicker of light coming from a bed lamp. With the help of the wall he found his way to the bed lamp. When he got there he sat on the bed. He still did not know where he was because the flicker of light was not enough to make him have enough visibility. He thought of what to do and he decided to carry the bed lamp along with him.As he walked through where he was. He realized that he was in the woods. "Where the hell is this. How come there is a bed in the woods?" He asked himself. As usual no answer came to him. As he walked through the woods, all he saw were short trees on either side of him. As he went on, he saw
Ben looked at her to see how she was going to react but he did not see any kind of reaction from her. She was receptive towards what he said. "Hmmmm..... I see. Like I said, the nightmare is a reflection of your fears and doubts." She said. "But since I have been here I have not seen that thing that should bring out the fear in me whether consciously or unconsciously. I have been living here without doubts and fear." He saidShe looked at him and she understood that he was young and had not understood how nature or life worked. "If it was back home in the U.K. then what you said will definitely be exactly what it is because I was afraid of a lot of things." He said. "Tell me Ben what were those things that you were afraid of?" She asked him. Ben felt relaxed taking with this woman. He now knew why Gerard had as part of his household. "I lived in constant fear of my mom dieing because of her sickness." Ben paused as he suddenly became emotional."I am sorry. I did not know that you had
It was a saturday morning. Murdoch was still in bed. He was still hurt from the rejection he got or silence that he got from his girlfriend when he proposed to her. His night was restless. He had no ounce of sleep. He did all his best to ignore the image of his girlfriend looking shell shocked and frozen as she said nothing to his proposal. He was thinking about what he was going to do. He hoped that as the sun was rising, it would rise with new hopes and dreams but he was skeptical about that because he was thinking by now that she would have called him after he had called her severally. As Murdoch stared at the ceiling he began to think how he was going to continue his life without Miranda.Miranda had been the only woman he felt comfortable with. She was the only woman he felt so carefree with. She was the only woman who he could feel stupid around and not feel shy or embarrassed. Miranda was the perfect and suitable woman for him. He was a handsome man with lovely features. Murdoc
"I will be going to see James' mother today. She is celebrating her birthday and everyone will be there." Shelly said. Jackson looked at her with a suspicious look. Shelly did not notice at first when Jackson did not respond to what she said because she was putting on her make up when she said it. She did not take notice of the fact that he was looking at her suspiciously. "Will you not respond to what I said?" She was by the dresser putting final touch to her make up while Jackson was on the bed looking at a map. When he did not answer her was when she now looked at him and her gaze met his. She nothing to him. They just stared at each other until Shelly spoke. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Shelly asked him. "Are you really asking me why?" Jackson said. Shelly still did not understand what Jackson meant. "You still so not know what my looking at you that way means?" Jackson asked her.As Jackson kept looking at her, she was able to decipher what he meant. "Hmmmm.....I now kn
