“Mom, I really didn't expect things to turn out this way. All I did was make a freaking bet against that poverty-stricken bastard at school.” He was, of course, referring to Benjamin. “I had no idea that Principal Dice would suddenly appear to take his side.”

Angela scoffed. “Oh, I heard about everything that went down concerning this situation.” She rolled her eyes in annoyance as she turned her gaze back to her husband.

“Augustin Dice, huh? Why is that old fool suddenly turning against our son?”

Simon stared out the exquisitely designed glass window behind him with a gentle shake of his head.

“I honestly don't know. That principle has been ignoring my calls ever since. He has always threaded carefully when it comes to the matter of our Tyrone family, and yet, he joined forces with a nobody to pressure my son into running around campus naked.”

Simon tightened his fists as he held his hands behind his back. “It doesn't make sense no matter how I think about it.”

“My goodness, Simon.”
