Benjamin stepped out of his car in a dilapidated slum on the outskirts of Regal Hill. Their resistance preserved this enclave as the last remaining slum neighborhood in the city, a vestige of the past amidst the relentless march of urbanization.

Dressed simply, Benjamin nevertheless stood out among the residents, who appeared malnourished and shabby in their worn-out clothes.
