Drunk Men

"I don't believe this is the right decision, Claire," Jenny whispered. She continued walking, tightly gripping Claire's arm. Fear had seized her heart and mind. Don't fault Jenny for her apprehension. The reality before them was undeniably daunting.

"There, calm down, Jenny. I promise there won't be anything," Claire said, trying to reassure her two friends.

Claire could feel Jenny and Maria's palms holding her hand starting to sweat as they got closer to the two men carrying bottles of alcohol. Claire glanced anxiously at her two friends, then sighed.

"Claire, they're getting closer," Maria squeaked, very quietly, as if she was afraid that the two men would hear her.

"When we cross paths with them, be calm. Everything will go well even if they look for trouble with us. Trust me, we're not just any women, we're trained troops!"
