Something is Not Right

"This soup looks absolutely delicious," Dolan exclaimed with a wide, approving smile, his eyes gleaming with anticipation as he leaned over to inhale the savory aroma wafting from the bowl. "You really know how to pick the right food, Dad," he added, turning to Frederick with a look of genuine admiration.

Frederick nodded in agreement, his sharp eyes gleaming under the candlelight. “Soup has been my favorite food for a long time. Let’s eat.”

As they began to enjoy their meal, Dylan felt his heart pounding even faster, each beat echoing in his ears like a relentless drum.
