The teasing was only met with a stiff smile by Claire.

Darvis inquired casually once more, "I was just wondering. How long have you been present, and what might you have overheard?"

The question, although asked very lightly, managed to make Claire's heart skip a beat.

She almost regretted her decision to show up right after Darvis and Matthew finished talking.

In response, Claire offered a reassuring smile, attempting to conceal any nervousness. With composure, she replied, "I've just arrived, Young Master. Although I witnessed you conversing with Sir Matthew, I didn't catch a word of your discussion. I apologize if my presence caused any disturbance."
