CHAPTER 7

Reginald and Victoria, Marcus's parents, were sitting in their opulent living room, discussing the recent developments.

"We need to take care of this situation," Reginald said, his voice firm and commanding. "Those kids are getting too close to the truth."

Victoria nodded, her eyes narrowing. "I agree. We can't let them expose us. We've worked too hard to build our empire."

Reginald's expression turned cold. "We'll take care of them. We'll make sure they don't bother us again."

Victoria smiled, a calculating glint in her eye. "I have an idea. Let's invite them to a party at our mansion. We'll make it seem like a friendly gesture, but really, we'll be keeping them under our thumb."

Reginald's eyes lit up with approval. "I like it. Let's do it."

Marcus, who had been listening in on the conversation, smiled to himself. He had been watching Jamal, Alex, and Rachel, and he knew they were getting close to the truth.

"Mother, Father," Marcus said, walking into the room. "I think I can help with the party. I'll make sure to invite Jamal, Alex, and Rachel personally."

Reginald and Victoria exchanged a glance, their expressions unreadable.

"Very well, Marcus," Reginald said. "See to it that they receive the invitation."

Marcus nodded, a sly smile spreading across his face. He knew exactly what his parents were planning, and he was happy to be a part of it.

Meanwhile, Jamal, Alex, and Rachel were sitting in the school cafeteria, discussing their next move. They had been investigating Marcus's family for weeks, and they were getting close to the truth.

"I think we should try to get into Marcus's house," Rachel said, her eyes sparkling with determination. "We might be able to find some evidence that will prove what we're saying."

Alex nodded, his expression serious. "I agree. But we need to be careful. If Marcus's family finds out what we're doing, they'll stop at nothing to silence us."

Jamal's eyes narrowed. "We'll be careful," he said. "But we can't back down now. We have to see this through."

Just then, the school principal, Mr. Johnson, walked into the cafeteria. "Jamal, Alex, Rachel," he said, his voice booming across the room. "I need to see you in my office."

The three friends exchanged nervous glances. What could the principal want with them?

As they followed Mr. Johnson to his office, Jamal couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. What was going on?

When they arrived at the office, Mr. Johnson closed the door behind them. "I've received a complaint from Marcus's parents," he said, his expression stern. "They're accusing you three of harassment."

Jamal's eyes widened in surprise. "That's not true!" he exclaimed.

Mr. Johnson held up his hand. "I'm not saying I believe them," he said. "But I do need to warn you three to be careful. Marcus's parents are powerful people, and they won't hesitate to use their influence to get what they want."

Alex's expression turned determined. "We're not going to back down," he said. "We're going to keep investigating, no matter what."

Rachel nodded in agreement. "We have to stand up for what's right," she said.

Jamal's eyes locked onto Mr. Johnson's. "We understand the risks," he said. "But we're willing to take them."

Mr. Johnson's expression turned serious. "I admire your determination," he said. "But please, be careful. I don't want to see any of you get hurt."

As they left the principal's office, Jamal couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. He glanced around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

But as they walked down the hallway, Jamal noticed a piece of paper on the floor. He picked it up, and his eyes widened in surprise.

It was an invitation to a party at Marcus's house. And it was addressed to Jamal, Alex, and Rachel.

"What's this?" Alex asked, his eyes scanning the invitation.

Rachel's expression turned suspicious. "I don't trust it," she said. "It's probably a trap."

Jamal's eyes narrowed. "We'll be careful," he said. "But we can't ignore this. We have to see what's going on."

As they stood there, discussing the invitation, Jamal couldn't shake off the feeling that they were walking into a trap. But he was determined to see this through

As Jamal, Alex, and Rachel continued to discuss the invitation, they began to formulate a plan.

"We need to be careful," Alex said. "If Marcus's family is behind this, we don't know what they're capable of."

Rachel nodded. "I agree. But we can't just ignore the invitation. We need to see what's going on."

Jamal's eyes narrowed. "I think we should go to the party, but we need to be prepared. We need to know what we're getting ourselves into."

As they continued to discuss their plan, Marcus watched them from across the hallway, a sly smile spreading across his face.

"Yes, come to the party," he whispered to himself. "I'll make sure you regret it."

Marcus's eyes gleamed with malice as he watched Jamal, Alex, and Rachel discuss the invitation. He knew that his parents had planned the party as a way to distract them from their investigation, and he was eager to see how they would react.

Meanwhile, Reginald and Victoria were sitting in their opulent living room, discussing the final details of the party.

"Everything is in place," Reginald said, his voice firm and commanding. "The party will be a success, and those kids will be none the wiser."

Victoria smiled, a calculating glint in her eye. "I'm looking forward to it," she said. "It's time we taught those kids a lesson."

As they continued to discuss their plan, Jamal, Alex, and Rachel were unaware of the danger that lay ahead. They were walking into a trap, and they didn't even know it.

But they were determined to see this through. They were determined to uncover the truth, no matter what it took.

And so, they made their decision. They would attend the party, and they would see what secrets they could uncover.

Little did they know, their lives were about to change forever..
