Breaking Ego

Higgins stared nervously at the handsome young man in front of him.

"I knew you would do something like this, so I followed you here, and I guess I wasn't wrong about that," Asher remarked with a smirk as he approached the manager's seat and sat on it.

Higgins observed Asher with fear.

"Sir, it's not what you think! I didn't intend to call Mr. Wallace. I only wanted to call my wife and inform her to prepare something good," Higgins knelt and apologized, inadvertently revealing the truth.

Asher nodded. "Great, it seems your wife will also have to know that you will be staying with her for quite some time."

Higgins was puzzled. Was he actually wrong about Asher? Was this Mr. Asher actually a good guy?
