Scheme of a genius

Asher was not seriously injured, so he was discharged from the hospital without trouble. The nurse, a kind lady, bought a new set of clothes for him to change into.

Boarding a taxi back home, Asher was deep in thought about the mysterious entity in his possession. A yellow-black taxi stopped in front of a small bungalow, and a young handsome man with fluffy black hair and crystal blue eyes walked out, dressed plainly. It was none other than Asher; he paid the driver, and the taxi drove off immediately.

Nevertheless, he was greeted with a troublesome scene. Catherine was packing his clothes and throwing them on the ground.

"Catherine!" He called her name angrily. This woman had no pity at all, breaking his heart and throwing his things away. How much would she prove she hated him?

"So you're back? I guess you must have gone to visit one of your side chicks to beg for money as usual. Not like I care what you do outside; that won't stop me from throwing your things away." She scoffed, tossing a bag filled with books on the ground.

"Catherine, stop! Those books are important!" He tried to stop her, but she stepped on the books with her heels and tore them.

"Catherine, what is this? You made me lose my job, now you're here, making a mess with my belongings."

"Belongings? As if you can afford anything for yourself. I bought this house and most of the clothes you wear, even this one you are wearing. I'm sure I bought them too."

"Is that what gives you the go-ahead to spoil them? Because I couldn't afford anything on my own, because I was saving money to make the holiday we promised each other? Catherine, even if you hate me, you don't have to show it this way."

"Umm... it disgusts me. Even speaking to you disgusts me."

She walked inside the house. Immediately she walked inside, she came out with a box containing spare parts of computers, most of them that Asher had been using for his cybersecurity training.

"Catherine, drop that down, now!" He yelled.

"Or what?" Another voice came from inside the house as Brighton walked out, smirking at Asher.

"Or what, Asher? Would you cry about it like a baby you are?"

This time, Asher only smirked; this bastard is still full of himself.

"How about this, how much would it cost to buy this house?" He asked, "Or how much would you take to let me keep these things here for the night."

After his question, Brighton and Catherine looked at each other and roared in laughter.

"You? Pay for the house, stop daydreaming, man. You can't make it happen."

"Just tell me how much, even if I don't have, I just want to know." Asher asked one more time; their laughter increased, and Catherine decided to use this opportunity to humiliate Asher.

"Asher, if you can transfer $3,000 to my account this moment, I'll let you keep your stuff, and I'll even apologize for the ones I spoiled."

"Come on, broke boy, show me what you can do."

Asher only shook his head; he whipped out his phone and scrolled straight to his cash app. Then he placed her cash app tag and transferred a sum of three thousand dollars to her.

DING DING DING.

Her phone vibrated. Her eyes widened a little bit. Even Brighton was slightly shocked.

"It's probably a weather report; it is afternoon, it is around this time that they send reports." She scoffed as she checked her phone notification.

{ CASH APP NOTIFICATION: You received $3,000.00 from #Asher456 }

Her eyes widened, deeply surprised at the alert. Where did this broke guy get that amount of money from?

"Now can I get the house for the night? I only need it to keep these things for the night; tomorrow morning, I'll make a decision about what to do with them." Asher smirked at Catherine and Brighton whose eyes were fixed on the notification.

"This is probably your last cash; you sent me your last cash to keep these things for the night so you can go ahead and live under the bridge from tomorrow. It's not surprising, someone as poor as you is meant for the bridge." She teased harshly, and Brighton burst out laughing.

"You are so broke that you are starting to become desperate; that money you sent is your life savings. Imagine, just three thousand you spend, and you are already planning to sleep under the bridge."

Asher didn't even reply to them; he started picking up the stuff that was important to him. Those two would forever be a thorn as long as they are here.

"Can you two step out now; I have paid for the house. Now the ownership belongs to me."

"Belong to you, how? Common three thousand dollars you sent, and you are already claiming ownership of the house! Don't worry; I'll refund the money, since you don't have brain and respect, I'll make sure I send you back to the street this night." Catherine started pressing her phone, ready to transfer the money back.

"Sorry, I don't accept a refund. I would only accept if you pay me ten times what I paid you and in cash." Asher smirked.

"What the hell are you even saying? Are you out of your mind?" Catherine, tired of his stupid scheme, yelled out in frustration.

"Asher, it seems you want some beating; I'll call some boys, and they will beat you up." Brighton responded, upset.

"What did I do? I just have my terms, and it is quite simple. Since you two claim to be rich, provide me the amount I requested, and I'll kindly pack my things away from here." Asher didn't even break his smile as he spoke.

"Or are you guys broke? I thought wealthy people have money all around them? 30k shouldn't be a big deal if you guys are what you claim to be." He teased even more.

"You!!!" Brighton yelled.
