—A day before…—

Bianca stormed into Gerald’s office, tossing her bag on the couch and pacing anxiously. She was certain – absolutely certain – that the person she had seen at the grocery mall was Diane, and it left her deeply unsettled.

Gerald, engrossed in his calculations, grew irritated by her agitated behavior. He continued to jot down notes while glancing at his computer screen.

Frustrated by her pacing, he quipped, “What's gotten your panties all tied up in a bunch, Bianca? You’re distracting my calculations with all this commotion.”

Bianca gulped, then she paused and turned to face him. “I think I saw someone familiar today, Gerald. I'm so sure she was the one. Her name was Diane Monez, a maid to the Danforths then when Leon’s wife, Caroline was alive.”

Gerald looked up at her with furrowed brows. “And how is that a problem, Bianca? I fail to understand where you’re going with this.”
