In the midst of the unfolding events, Ezekiel noticed that Joanna hadn't gone far. She sat huddled in a secluded corner adjacent to the hotel, her tears flowing unabated.

Approaching her with gentle steps, Ezekiel removed his coat and draped it around her, shielding her from the chill. He settled himself before her, his voice tender and comforting, "A beauty like you shouldn't be made to shed tears, Ms. Joanna. Who dares to bring sorrow to such a radiant soul?"

Joanna blinked, her tear-filled eyes meeting his, surprise flickering within them. "Mr. Sinclair, why... why are you here?" she inquired, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.
