Ninety four

Travis was in the midst of a discussion with General Manager Marshall in his office at Golden Tower when his phone suddenly chimed with an incoming call. He reached over to his desk and noticed that it was his father calling. The last time they met, he had to leave abruptly due to the tragic news of Diane’s death, and since then, their communication had been strained.

Though somewhat puzzled, Travis answered the call, his voice calm and collected, “Hello, Dad.”

General Manager Marshall raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, a small smile forming as he witnessed Travis and his father were now on speaking terms.

“We should have a conversation, Travis. Can you make some time for a visit?” Leon inquired on the other end of the line.

Travis shook his head slightly and responded, “I’m afraid that’s not possible at the moment, Dad. What’s on your mind? We can discuss it over the phone.”

Leon let out a sigh as he glanced at Edwin, who was seated across from him. “It’s about your brother, Edwin.
