Travis found himself deeply absorbed in thoughts about the mysterious message from Diane Monez. He could recall her clearly, and he knew that after his mother’s death, she suddenly retired from her work and was nowhere to be found.

Back then, Travis hadn’t dwelled on the reasons behind her sudden departure; he was too young to comprehend the intricacies of the situation. All he had been certain of was that his mother’s passing had been far from ordinary. He had hoped that confiding in his father about his suspicions would provide answers, but he had been met with disbelief. Fueled by anger and a feeling of his father’s indifference to his mother’s memory, he stormed out of the house, deeming his father utterly stupid and feeling like he never actually loved his mother.

He arrived at Golden Tower, getting the information from General Marshall that Joanna was present to deliver progress reports to him. Travis decided it was an opportune moment to surprise her by picking her up.
