As Mr. Rowlings entered the room, a collective wave of astonishment rippled through the gathered individuals. Rather than exuding his usual confidence, he appeared stricken with fear. Instead of acknowledging Travis, his enraged stare was directed unwaveringly at Mr. D, who met his gaze with evident confusion.

“Are you intent on dismantling everything we’ve worked so hard to build, Desmond?! I could kill you right now for such a damned mistake!” Mr. Rowlings lashed out in a mixture of anger and frustration, landing a kick squarely on Mr. D’s leg. He then gestured forcefully towards Travis. “That, Desmond, is Mr. Travis, you insolent imbecile!!”

Mr. D stood, struck dumb with shock, his gaze shifting between Travis and the man delivering the chastisement. Everyone else turned their gaze toward Travis.

That's Mr. Travis? This young man was, in fact, Mr. Travis? The gravity of their almost-executed actions sank in. Their intended actions could have spelled the end of their lives.
