ANOTHER FROM HER PAST LIFE

Elena had arrived at the infirmary. She took in a deep breath to calm her nerves before pushing the doors open.

She greeted the girl that stood at the receptionist stand.

Elena began to walk the hallway. She was never one to get sick of the smell of hospitals, but now she was feeling sick.

She could not decipher if it was her anxiety that caused the sudden nauseating feeling she was getting.

She walked with light feet to the ICU(Intensive Care Unit). That was where Adam usually stayed to mostly supervise what was going on.

As she suspected, Adam was there. Standing in the hallway in front of a ward that had a glass wall with which he could use to see through. Adam was dressed in his usual formal suit and a hanky stuffed neatly in his breast pocket, eyes looking into the ward, supervising what the workers were doing to the helpless victims in there.

“You are late.” Adam mumbled dryly, not even sparing her a glance.
