GOODBYES

It was summer, and the air was warm. The sun shone in a cloudless sky as people walked along the streets of West Virginia.

Exams had ended and students had evacuated the school grounds. Well, except for certain students that remained in school grounds for special reasons.

“I am really going to miss you.” Raphael said throwing his hands over Ajax’s shoulder, hugging him tight.

Elena stood by and watched them. Her keen eyes observing the tiny little details about them.

Ajax looked stoic, clenching his jaw every now and then as he watched Raphael carry his things. He looked like he wanted to cry, but he had to keep his cool with an expressionless face, yet he also had to show that he would miss him too.

All he needed was to balance it. Not to show too much emotions and not to show less. She would say he was doing quite a fine job.
