"What did you say?" Jason asked, clenching his fists.

He was accused of being a murderer, even though he had never done such a heinous thing. He met Mr. Dagfinn only once, and even then he helped Mr. Dagfinn, who was attacked by Addison's own people. And now Addison casually accuses Jason of the murder of Mr. Dagfinn.
