Chapter 3

Hearing what Nelson said, the system did not respond at all.

"Are you leaving already? Good, I don't want to go crazy like this." Nelson said coldly, the man looking weakly at his IV hand.

"Lightning doesn't want me to die, so why should Earth accept me?" Nelson continued to talk nonsense. The spirit of life was gone entirely from the man.

[My Host's existence here is not without meaning]

"Never mind, stop your nonsense. This is the real world, not a fairy tale world where one can hear foreign voices from their thoughts. I know, I'm out of my mind right now, so stop making noise; I want to sleep!" snapped Nelson, who had run out of patience.

The man knew he shouldn't have to deal with the foreign voice from his mind, but somehow, his lips and brain were out of sync.

[Host, what you are hearing right now is not nonsense]

[Introduce me to system S0373F17]

[Welcome to the lucky draw system. You will get everything you want]

[Your satisfaction is my top priority]

Hearing all these explanations, Nelson fell silent. The man tried to digest with common sense whether what he heard was real.

[As I said before, I'm here because I detected great desperation within the Host]

"If you know I'm desperate, why don't you want me to die quickly?" Nelson interrupted sarcastically. Now Nelson realized that the voice he heard was like that of a broken robot.

[I will help avenge the Host. Not only that, but I will also give the Host the Power and strength to turn things around quickly]

Nelson sneered, "Power and strength? How can you do that? You better cut the crap!"

[Sorry, but the system can only grant the Host's request when the Host accepts the system]

"Your nonsense is nauseating!" Nelson also chose to put himself to sleep because talking with such thoughts made Nelson even more frustrated.

After a few hours of rest, Nelson finally woke up, and the nurse immediately checked his health.

"Mr. Nelson's condition has begun to stabilize, but we must inform you that all administrative matters have not been handled. We have tried to contact your wife, but we are still waiting for an answer, and all your health insurance has also been blocked. So I hope that after this, you can take care of it; if you need help, Mr. Nelson can call me."

The nurse's words surprised Nelson as there was no one he could turn to for help.

"I don't have any money in my suit. Is that not enough?" asked Nelson in an unpleasant tone.

Hearing Nelson's question, the nurse smiled. "I'm sorry, sir, but there was only a cell phone in his clothes, and the lightning strike had also burned the cell phone, and we could only dispose of it so that the radioactivity contained in the components of the cell phone would not harm others."

"Thank you. I'll call you later." Nelson could only reply with a wry smile.

"Ah shit, what is this ordeal? Why doesn't God just let me die!" complained Nelson, again venting his frustration while banging on the mattress he was lying on.

"Where is the money? I was sure it was in my pocket, but why did it disappear so quickly? It can't be, didn't it catch fire?" Nelson continued to monologue as he had no idea how to leave the hospital.

[The money didn't burn, but the older man who hit you in the elevator took it] The system's voice came back into Nelson's head.

"You stay out of this. How could-" Nelson cut himself off as he remembered something. "Damn it, how could I forget that the old man stole his wife's medical bills so often! Ah, shit!!!" Nelson, who realized his stupidity, could only continue to blame himself.

"Now, how am I going to pay for this hospital? Maybe death is the right answer," Nelson muttered as he looked around him for something he could use to end himself.

[The Host will not die that quickly if the Host is willing to bind you to me. I will give you everything the host needs]

"You wouldn't give me everything for free, would you?" Nelson asked quietly, thinking the same thing the system was saying.

[Host. Take it easy. I'll give you what you're worth]

"What do you mean?"

[I will give you a task, and you will do all the jobs. If you fail, there will be a punishment, but the Host can rest easy; the punishment won't be that bad, and only I can help the Host settle all the grudges the Host has].

Nelson was silent. The man thought about whether to accept or not.

After thinking for a long time, Nelson finally made up his mind. "Huh, can you give me money?" he asked uncertainly.

[Of course, it's very easy for me].

With a heavy heart, Nelson finally decided. "Okay, I accept you."

[Alright, Host prepares]

[The spin-draw system is activated]

[10%... 35%... 80%... 95%... 100%]

[System activation successfully activated].

"What's that?" said Nelson in shock as the system was successfully activated, and a translucent screen appeared before his eyes. Nelson looked at the screen like a hologram in the movies.

[Hosts don't need to worry. This screen can only be used by hosts. Only the person connected to the system can see it. Just touch it]

"Wow!" Nelson, who couldn't help but be amazed, naturally cheered up when he saw the screen.

"Tell me my mission, and make me the strongest!" Nelson immediately became excited and convinced that everything he experienced today was no longer hallucinating.

[As a welcoming gesture, your first mission is to spin the lottery to see what prize the Host will receive.]

Hearing the system's command, Nelson, unable to hold back his hands, immediately pressed the screen before him. Now, the lottery was spinning in Nelson's eyes.

"Did I get it?" asked Nelson in disbelief after rubbing his eyes for a while to see what luck he had gotten.
