Chapter thirty-seven: clearing the doubts “And that is reason why I will still go ahead with the plan,” Mike replied. He said calmly with no fear in his face. “What?!” Manson exclaimed. He kept expressing his concerns over the plan proposed by Mike. “Don't worry, trust me, the word distraction is used for a reason,” Mike said. He was still calm and confident in himself, and his plan. “Mike, are you sure?” Manson asked. He wants his doubts to be cleared and put his trust on the plan and process. “Yes I am, trust me,” Mike replied. He smiled and looked at Manson. “Okay, if so, I trust you,” Manson said. He believed Mike for the time being. “Alright, from the looks of things, I think you were about to close for the day,” Mike said. He noticed Manson preparation. “Yeah, I am, shall we go now?” Manson asked. He wanted to leave and close the store. “Sure, why not,” Mike replied. The both of them (Manson and Mike) went out of the clock store, Manson shuts the light in the store. Ma
Chapter forty-eight: questions in the briefing room.“Good day Sir, I am here, with your legal overseas document,” Mr. Paul said. He held the briefcase with both hands and he stood still because billionaire Andrew had not offered him a seat yet and he was afraid of sitting down without being offered a seat, especially when it is someone like billionaire Andrew. “I like the way you put it, you say, and make it feel good! Common, have a seat,” billionaire Andrew said. He offered Mr. Paul a seat, and Mr. Paul sat down, still holding the briefcase. “I see you are securing my documents properly,” billionaire Andrew said. He noticed the way Mr. Paul held tight to the briefcase and he was fidgeting with his fingers. Mr. Paul held tight to the briefcase not because he wanted to secure it, it is because he was nervous and scared of billionaire Andrew, and asked can't he leave billionaire Andrew and work with someone else. He can't leave because, he is being paid well and no one, especially t
Chapter forty-nine: the last words before attending the uninvited party. “Thank you, sir, I want to ask, what about the back doors?” police officer Joe asked. He raised his hands to ask the vital question. Some officers in the briefing room started to giggle. Police Commissioner Reynold looked at him and said “I said earlier that team three will guard and patrol the backyards and that includes the back entrances,”. Reynold repeated what he said before to Officer Joe. After police Commissioner Reynold replied to Officer Joe, some officers in the room started laughing out loud. “Quite!! I said quite!!! I can't believe that I am controlling grown men and women like babes,”. Police Commissioner Reynold said. He stopped other officers from mocking Officer Joe. Police Commissioner Reynold turned and looked at Joe and he asked “Have I answered your question?”. He pointed at Officer Joe, who was sitting in the middle of his seat row. “No sir, you have not,” Officer Joe replied. Police Co
Chapter fifty: The Uninvited Party. “Revenge,” Mike said. He looked at Manson with all seriousness. “And I think he knows your answer,” Manson replied. He sat upright on the chair and he looked at Mike. Mike gasped and he said, “Yeah I think so,”. Mike bowed and he was thinking about something. Manson stood up and he wanted to get something. “Sometimes!” Mike said out loud and Manson had to stop and look at him. “Sometimes, what?” Manson asked. He returned to his seat, to listen to what Mike had to say because that single word and how he said it, pricked his curiosity. Mike gasped, rubbed his knees with his hands raised his head, and said “Sometimes, I umm.. (he exhaled) I usually ask myself, how my father will feel or say if he is seeing what I am about to do for him?”. That question was deep and touching to every grown and young man, about their worth in the eyes of their father. “That is deep (he exhaled and paused for a second, there was silence in the room but the ceiling
Chapter fifty-one: The Back Entrance.“Yes, and I'm going in,” Officer Joe said. He made a decision that would break the code of conduct of the team. “You can't do that,” Officer Ruby said. She wanted to stop him from breaking the rules they were given. “Watch me,” Officer Joe replied. He turned and he was about to walk into the mansion when Officer Ruby stopped him. “Wait! I am coming with you,” Officer Ruby said. She agrees to join Officer Joe in his unlicensed investigation. “Really?” Officer Joe said. He was surprised that someone was finally joining him in his law enforcement conquest. “Yes but on my terms only,” Officer Ruby replied. She decided to adjust Officer Joe's approach to the unlicensed investigation. “And what are your terms then?” Officer Joe asked. He inquiries. Officer Ruby looked at her wristwatch and said “It is two hours to the main event, let us wait till then,”. She gave acceptable and reasonable advice. “What?! We don't have time to wait, what if the s
Chapter fifty-two: The Party. “He is in the building,” Officer Joe said. He deduced that Mike had entered the mansion. “Really? Are of what you are saying?” Officer Ruby said. Officer Ruby was surprised by the assumption Officer Joe had. “I don't know but I think I am sure that he is in the building,” Officer Joe replied. He was uncertain about his assumptions but he thinks he is sure. “Okay, let me just agree with you because I want to catch this guy so badly as you, so let's go get him,” Officer Ruby said. She agrees with Officer Joe's assumptions. “Okay, thanks but how are we going to leave our post?” Officer Joe asked. He was concerned about their position. “I know what to do,” Officer Ruby said. She looked around and saw two SWAT officers patrolling and she called them. “Hey! You two, come over here,” Officer Ruby said. She ordered the SWAT officers to come to her and they obeyed and came to her. “Now, listen, I and my partner (she pointed to Officer Joe) are going for sp
Chapter fifty-three: shock. Officer Joe remembered him and he asked “What are you doing here?”. Officer Joe was surprised to see him. Manson was surprised, though he expected to encounter him but not on the upper floor when he was going on a mission. And Manson acted confused. “Hey, didn't you remember me? It's me Joe, Officer Joe, we met like days, weeks, or months ago, didn't you remember?” Officer Joe asked. He was still surprised and was kind of happy. “Umm… I don't think so, sorry,” Manson replied. Manson remembered him, but he had to deny knowing him. “Come on! It's me, Joe,” officer Joe said. He pointed at his chest and looked at Manson with a smile on his face. Manson was still playing his dementia role, when Officer Joe was called on the radio, by his partner, Officer Ruby. “Joe! Joe! Do you copy? Over!” Officer Ruby called out from the radio. Officer Joe raised his finger, signifying Manson to wait. Officer Joe brought out the radio. “Yes, I copy, what is the problem

And it says “It is time,” But before Mike sends a text to Mason that says “It is time,”. Mike walked into the uninvited party unnoticed (no one knew him because the suspect was not known, he was seen as a guest also, even though people do not pay attention to him). Mike walked through the crowds, searching for billionaire Andrew but he did not see him. As Mike continued his scouting, he mistakenly bumped into police officer Ruby. “Oh, I am sorry, it is that I can't easily move around with the crowd and everyone moves around, I hope you understand,” Mike said. He asked politely and he looked into the eyes of Officer Ruby. Mike didn't know exactly who she was and Officer Ruby didn't know exactly who Mike was really. Officer Ruby moved back, because of the way they bumped into each other.
