Chapter 24 Antony is humiliated

In an upscale Manhattan hotel, a cocktail party is being held for the real top people of New York, all of whom have stomped their feet and become real people who shake up New York.

"Excuse me, I have business," a middle-aged man dressed as a successful man in a suit and tie, with a formulaic grin, who had just chatted with Anthony, turned and walked away, leaving Anthony and Gin alone.

"Boss, are you all right?" asked Gin, looking worried as his sullen boss emptied his glass of wine.

Anthony's sullen face waved his hand and smiled mockingly: "It's okay, isn't it all expected?" Now, although I have some money in my hand, there are hundreds of people below me. But in the eyes of these really important people, nothing, rejection is also deserved. At least they didn't make me look bad, did they?"

"It might be better to ask Senator Chris for a referral," Gin suggested.

In his opinion, his presence should be the honor of the host of this party.

He kept his hands up and down to his female companion, while quietly picking and talking to the people around him who were pleasing him. Of course, because of his status, he spends most of his time making fun of others while they curry favor with him. No way, who let him be Tony Stark, so he can be so petulant.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Tony Stark," said Anthony, holding up two glasses of red wine and handing him one, greeting him with his nicest expression.

His woman and her bodyguard all shook their heads at Tony Stark, saying they didn't know Anthony. Or maybe they don't know each other, because although the Angry Gang is very high-profile in Manhattan these days, Anthony himself is a low-key person, so not many people know Anthony himself.

Before Anthony could continue to say anything, Tony Stark interrupted Anthony's next words with a voice, took the glass of red wine from Anthony's hand with a playful face, and Anthony nodded and said, "Little man, no wonder." "Yes, Mr. Tony Stark was saying," the man who had just been flattering him was the host of the party, a member of the National Security Council, fairly low on the list, but who knows how much higher than Congressman Chris Anthony had worked so hard to reach out to.

But even such a big man did a great deal of ingratiating himself with Tony Stark. Even though he knew that what Tony Stark had just said was a lie, he nodded his head. It was quite like blaming a deer for a horse.

Just as Tony was about to turn away and ignore Anthony's face of shame and embarrassment, he suddenly seemed to remember something and turned to Fawkes nearby and continued, "By the way, at the next party like this, don't invite everyone. It's going to be awkward if someone I don't know wants to get to know me and I don't know them."

"That's what Mr. Tony Stark said," said Fawkes, with a smile on his face. As he turned away from Tony Stark, his face changed and he turned to Anthony with a smile on his face. "Sir, I don't know how you got into this party I'm giving, but I hope I don't see you again when I give it, thank you."

Sitting in the car, on the way back to the Angry Gang headquarters, Gin looked at the closed and silent Anthony through the rearview mirror and asked worried: "Boss, are you okay?"

"Of course, I'm fine! I'm just thinking about one thing now! ' Anthony opened his eyes and said coldly, "I'm black!
