Before all of this, Sylvia asked Zeke what his plan is. Sylvia asked if there is any reasonable explanation why Zeke is so sure that they will win. If there isn’t any, then this is the first ever instance where she will go against him.

It’s too high of a risk. Too much of a gamble. This is the future of the Forge kingdom that is being placed as a gambling chip in what Zeke hopes to do. That is why Sylvia is heavily against it and, to this, Zeke has simple answers.

One is that there’s nothing that can be done by Sylvia anymore. Apologizing to the elven kingdom will not bring any sort of good outcome. The damage has been done and if they try to mend it at that point, Zeke’s sure that the elven kingdom will just begin asking more and more from them. Something that will be more detrimental to the Forge kingdom.
