Before the night of Zeke’s first fight against the goblins. He first continued the discussion he’s having with Sylvia. One that had a space made after Zeke stated his job class. After he said that he is a Blacksmith Assassin. A statement that has now left Sylvia in a state that can only be described as being dumbfounded.“My lord, I think I didn’t hear you right. Did you just say that you’re a…”“A Blacksmith.” Zeke repeated, not even letting the dark elf finish with whatever it was that she was planning to say. And, he even added to be more precise. “An Assassin Blacksmith. That is my job class.”Zeke knows that, in this world, it is difficult to get your secondary job class. There are specific requirements that first needs to be fulfilled before one can claim this after all. In fact, it is so difficult to gain a secondary job class that the number of them within a kingdom won’t even go beyond a hundred. That is how rare they are.But Zeke’s already past all of that. He’s past the no
Right after the conversation with Sylvia, Zeke and the dark elf went straight into the heart of the city. The place where one specific blacksmith can be found – none other than King Heimdal himself. A king that rules over the dark elves and has made the most splendid weapons throughout the years. This is the introduction given to Daemon regarding the king. The very words that came out of Sylvia’s lips. He can see the enthusiasm on the face of the dark elf while talking about this very king which, tells him one other thing, that even though Forge Kingdom is in this state, the king isn’t someone that the people hates. At least not absolutely. In light of this, Zeke and Sylvia went down a spiraling path. It seems that the place they’re visiting is not above ground. No. It is under it. And as Zeke and Sylvia took what seems to be a secret route, they arrived, in the blink of an eye, to a door that stands in their way.Even outside, Zeke can hear the hammering of steel. There’s something a
“My lord, someone is here to see you.”These are Sylvia’s words as soon as she entered the forge. The king continued hammering down the weapon that he’s making. But he still found the time to give a reply nonetheless.“Sylvia, I told you that I’m busy didn’t I?” It’s at this point that Zeke felt the overwhelming difference between him and the dark elf that’s fixated on making the weapon before him. A large gap in strength to be exact that, he believes, is something that he wouldn’t be able to overcome any time soon. Not with his own capabilities at least. A challenge that he’s now gladly taken upon himself.“You seem to be a very busy person my lord.” Zeke suddenly said. He was told by Sylvia beforehand not to say anything until he’s given permission. But with the way that things are going, he knows that this would take too long. If he has to wait for the king to be ready, the time for them to hold a discussion may never come anymore. So he’s just going to force it and, sure enough,
The king stopped in his tracks. There is a silence that spread once more. Far greater than the one that’s already passed. And with this, came a stare. A deadly stare that is directed right at Zeke Elwood. Making the human feel the animosity of the great king of the dark elves. Making him feel the deadly rage that can result in his death.“If I were you boy, I would be careful what I’d say next.” The king began. “I am not a king who has patience with impudence.”The heat became much more unbearable for Zeke all of a sudden. He can feel his nerves all trembling, every muscle, every fiber of his being, is screaming for him to run away. He can be broken like a twig. That is how easy it would be for the king of the Forge Kingdom to kill him. And his whole being knows this, down to his very core.“Forgive me, my king.” Zeke bowed his head right away. “But to get your full attention, I thought that an action like this is necessary for me to take.”“And you have that now. My full undivided at
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”The king bellowed in laughter. His strong and loud voice spread across the four corners of the forge. Revibrating so powerfully that Zeke felt his body tingle just from this. Any longer and he’d also lose his hearing probably. That’s how strong the laugh of the king is. Thankfully, Zeke didn’t have to endure for too long as, the laughter came to an abrupt halt.“You want to take all of the scarp daggers? That’s what you came to me for?” The king wiped a tear that formed on one of his eyes. “Oh that’s priceless.”Now, Zeke has changed the mood entirely. He started off with a feeling that he’s about to be killed. But now it’s died down because of this new statement of his that’s just as absurd as the first. But he knows that this privilege that he has would be gone soon if he doesn’t make full use of it. That’s why he spoke as fast as he could. Following up when the king stopped speaking.“This is a way for me to show my worth to the kingdom my king.” Zeke said. “I wis
Dawn has broken over the horizon. The sun’s rays began to reach out to everything that it can touch. All that exists within the world of Ragna – basking it in sunlight. And with this happening, there is a single person who failed to witness it again. None other than the very ruler of the kingdom of Forge. Herald Ironforge. The dark elf continued with his work, not wanting to be bothered. Not even the slightest bit. He hammered down on the steel at the anvil creating a new weapon, a different one compared to what he was finishing the day that he and Zeke Elwood held their conversation. Though his focus isn’t necessarily on his craft at the moment because of another dark elf who’s in the same room as he. Sylvia Swiftfoot.“You seem to be investing more and more time inside my workshop Sylvia.” The king said. “Do you need anything?”“I’m just here to report that he isn’t back yet.” Sylvia replied. “He said that he’d be back today but, nobody from the walls has caught sight of him, not ev
Contrary to what she felt earlier, the dark elf Sylvia Swiftfoot is now elated. Extremely so because of what just happened with her king. Now they have a godly weapon that they can give to their hero. An assassin blacksmith who will now be supplemented with nothing less than, what can arguably be the best pair of daggers in the entirety of Ragna.Of course the heroes of the other continents may also have ego weapons supplied to them. But, in her heart, Sylvia knows that the thing in her hands is the best by far. That’s why she rushed as fast as she could to the gates of the castle after hearing the news that Zeke Elwood has made his return as well. She didn’t doubt this for a second of course but, for Zeke to actually return after all of that simply means that he is everything he set himself to be. A hero for this kingdom unlike anything it has ever seen. And this just gives Sylvia all the more reason to rush. Not wanting to make their hero wait any longer. Now their kingdom will be
“That was…”“Spectacular? Amazing? Fantastic?” Zeke offered as many adjectives as he could with a smile growing on his lips at the same time. “I know. You don’t even need to finish.”“You really are full of yourself huh.” She said in reply.“Well, I did get back here in one piece so, you can imagine how full of myself I must be after killing all those goblins.”“Wait. You actually did it?”“Uhh…yeah? That’s what I set out to do remember?” Zeke replied as if this is the most obvious thing yet Sylvia still missed it. “To be fair, the dark elf isn’t really in her elements yet. Nobody can blame here because her emotions have been on a roller-coaster ride since early that day. It all started with her disappointment toward her own king and her people. Then this is followed by ecstasy from the fact that an ego weapon is made by the same king for their hero. The third she felt is anger and irritation towards Adeline that stepped out of line and barged into their kingdom. Then there’s the joy
