“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”The king bellowed in laughter. His strong and loud voice spread across the four corners of the forge. Revibrating so powerfully that Zeke felt his body tingle just from this. Any longer and he’d also lose his hearing probably. That’s how strong the laugh of the king is. Thankfully, Zeke didn’t have to endure for too long as, the laughter came to an abrupt halt.“You want to take all of the scarp daggers? That’s what you came to me for?” The king wiped a tear that formed on one of his eyes. “Oh that’s priceless.”Now, Zeke has changed the mood entirely. He started off with a feeling that he’s about to be killed. But now it’s died down because of this new statement of his that’s just as absurd as the first. But he knows that this privilege that he has would be gone soon if he doesn’t make full use of it. That’s why he spoke as fast as he could. Following up when the king stopped speaking.“This is a way for me to show my worth to the kingdom my king.” Zeke said. “I wis
Dawn has broken over the horizon. The sun’s rays began to reach out to everything that it can touch. All that exists within the world of Ragna – basking it in sunlight. And with this happening, there is a single person who failed to witness it again. None other than the very ruler of the kingdom of Forge. Herald Ironforge. The dark elf continued with his work, not wanting to be bothered. Not even the slightest bit. He hammered down on the steel at the anvil creating a new weapon, a different one compared to what he was finishing the day that he and Zeke Elwood held their conversation. Though his focus isn’t necessarily on his craft at the moment because of another dark elf who’s in the same room as he. Sylvia Swiftfoot.“You seem to be investing more and more time inside my workshop Sylvia.” The king said. “Do you need anything?”“I’m just here to report that he isn’t back yet.” Sylvia replied. “He said that he’d be back today but, nobody from the walls has caught sight of him, not ev
Contrary to what she felt earlier, the dark elf Sylvia Swiftfoot is now elated. Extremely so because of what just happened with her king. Now they have a godly weapon that they can give to their hero. An assassin blacksmith who will now be supplemented with nothing less than, what can arguably be the best pair of daggers in the entirety of Ragna.Of course the heroes of the other continents may also have ego weapons supplied to them. But, in her heart, Sylvia knows that the thing in her hands is the best by far. That’s why she rushed as fast as she could to the gates of the castle after hearing the news that Zeke Elwood has made his return as well. She didn’t doubt this for a second of course but, for Zeke to actually return after all of that simply means that he is everything he set himself to be. A hero for this kingdom unlike anything it has ever seen. And this just gives Sylvia all the more reason to rush. Not wanting to make their hero wait any longer. Now their kingdom will be
“That was…”“Spectacular? Amazing? Fantastic?” Zeke offered as many adjectives as he could with a smile growing on his lips at the same time. “I know. You don’t even need to finish.”“You really are full of yourself huh.” She said in reply.“Well, I did get back here in one piece so, you can imagine how full of myself I must be after killing all those goblins.”“Wait. You actually did it?”“Uhh…yeah? That’s what I set out to do remember?” Zeke replied as if this is the most obvious thing yet Sylvia still missed it. “To be fair, the dark elf isn’t really in her elements yet. Nobody can blame here because her emotions have been on a roller-coaster ride since early that day. It all started with her disappointment toward her own king and her people. Then this is followed by ecstasy from the fact that an ego weapon is made by the same king for their hero. The third she felt is anger and irritation towards Adeline that stepped out of line and barged into their kingdom. Then there’s the joy
Forge kingdom is built upon steel and bricks. There aren’t much wood as far as the material is concerned because of the dangers that this would bring, especially in high quantities. After all, this kingdom is one that focuses on creating weaponry, armor, trinkets, and other equipments. As such, they rely heavily in flames and, in large amounts at that. The very same reason why plants and trees cannot thrive within the walls of their kingdom. The Elven Kingdom is the exact opposite. Everywhere you look, there are trees and wildlife scattered around. There is a river with pure water where everyone gathers their drinks from. They have fresh air, the purest kind. And, there is a sense of peace and serenity across its entirety. With it being this way, you’d think that it’d be easy to invade. However, nothing can be further from the truth because, it is this very reason why the Elven Kingdom is impregnable. It can be said that the trees surrounding the place has a life of their own. When th
Zeke took a much-needed rest. Although he did finish everything that he set out to do by destroying all of the goblins in the village and, even doing more than that by taking out the raiding hobgoblins that came after, that doesn’t mean that he didn’t sustain any damage at all.His whole body is sore and he can feel his mental being more and more drained by the second. That’s why he decided that the best course of action for him to take at the moment is this very thing – rest. He needs to rest for his own sake so that he would be in his optimum performance.Another reason why he needs this is, because of what came afterwards. As soon as Zeke woke from his slumber, the sun is already past its prime. There are two more hours before it sets over the horizon, bringing the world back to darkness. Though it is a pity that Zeke isn’t able to do much during the day, he plans to compensate it now. With him appearing in the training grounds of the kingdom. The facility itself isn’t half bad. Th
Part of the things that Zeke read in the library during his first day in this kingdom are books about making weapons. Thanks to the fact that Forge is a kingdom of elven blacksmiths, there are various information on the library regarding weapon creation theory. Ingredients for weapon creation and, various other stuff that are connected to the said concept.Although he has amassed all of this and, although he already has the basics of forging up in his head, this doesn’t nearly suffice for him to be able to do the act itself. He needs more and, by more, what I mean is that he needs enough practical experience. Something that he’d only be able to gain by going to the blacksmith workshops himself and, try out the craft with his own hands.“So, where are we going this time?” Zeke asked.“There is a person that’s good at teaching new blacksmiths my lord. He’d be perfect for you.”“Perfect huh. Is he any good?” “In terms of teaching? Yes. Any veteran blacksmith in this kingdom can attest t
“Right then.” Heimdal began in an upbeat tone. “If we’re really gonna do this, then we have to do it properly.”Zeke sat at the other side of the room, close enough for him to have a conversation with Heimdal. Unlike the experience that Zeke had with the king, this old man in front of him is actually holding a proper conversation. Heimdal isn’t working while the old man asked this question. No. Heimdal’s full attention is on Zeke Elwood.“So tell me Zeke.” Heimdal put down his hammer, the final sign that all of his attention is now on Zeke Elwood. “How much experience do you have with being a blacksmith?” “I don’t have any.” Is Zeke’s quick answer.“HAHAHAHAHA!’The old man began to laugh his heart out again. It’s obvious that Heimdal thinks that Zeke is joking. Who wouldn’t when, being a blacksmith by job class means that a person needs to have prior experience in the forge. A large amount of time to be exact which, humans don’t normally have the luxury of learning because of their
