Each of them having a specific regime that allowed the kingdoms to ensure that their heroes would be the strongest there is. Some are deployed to actual missions. Sylph patiently waited for the return of the heroine. He didn’t even bother coming out to assist Karina because, he knows that the reaper would be able to win. And there are a couple of factors that made him think this of course. The first is that, Sylph’s wind magic affects the entirety of the nearby vicinity.
