“My queen.”“Ah. Sylph, just the elf that I wanted to see.” The queen of the elves sat on her high throne. The distance between her and the elf she’s talking to is far enough for her to snipe Sylph. It’s far enough for her to kill Sylph without taking any damage. Though there is no need to do something like that because, there is no reason to. Sylph is her most trusted ally after all. And, more than that, Sylph is her secret lover. One who has been secretively making love with the hero of their kingdom behind her back.“We’ve just finished the other part of the hero’s training.” Sylph bowed down. A sign of both respect and formality.Even the queen’s lover needs to show this much reverence if there are guard elves that are watching nearby. They need to be formal. Not their usual way of speaking but, one that doesn’t bother them nevertheless.“So it would seem.” The queen responded in an indifferent tone. “She’s killed plenty of our human slaves. We don’t have enough now to go around.
Zeke’s training continued on for quite some time. We are now using the term training because that is precisely what happened shortly after the fight resumed. The hero had the upper hand slightly taken when he was able to launch the ten smokes that scattered across the battlefield. This negated the spell that Caster just used to wipe away the smoke and, even increased it to the point of zero visibility.Zeke also launched a couple more tricks that he still has up his sleeve. He didn’t just stop with this and continued on to as many as he could do. Forcing situations to happen as he tried his best to maintain his advantage against his enemies. But none of that mattered. Five minutes passed without him getting any solid victory and, as this happened, the final dark elf entered the scene. And with the three dark elves working together, it didn’t even take a whole minute for Zeke to be absolutely destroyed. Over and over again, the fights restarted. There are a total of three repetitions
The following day, before the sun could rise over the horizon, Sylvia found herself going to the front of the castle. There she is met by the flames brought about by the three dark elves who are working to escort the hero of the forge. All three of them wearing black robes that are made from materials only the dark elves know of. Making them almost invisible in the dead of night for those who do not know how to get through the illusion of these cloaks.“Alright, it seems that everyone is here.” Sylvia began as an introduction. However, her statement is far from being true. Not everyone is there. In fact, the vital part of this mission, the one who is the very essence of it, is still missing. That’s right. Zeke is nowhere to be seen, making one of the three elves raise her hand to ask a question.“Lady Sylvia, where is Lord Zeke?” Aries began. “He doesn’t seem to be with you.”“Our dear hero said he needed to drop by the forge one more time. It seems that the three of you gave him an i
When Zeke arrived into the scene, he brought with him a stillness. This isn’t the same kind of impact that he created when he stepped into the fight of the three dark elves in the arena. No. This is different. Far different. After all, he isn’t making any sort of special effect to this entrance of his. Zeke merely walked towards the center. Right at the side of where Sylvia is and, as soon as his presence is made known, the female dark elf also began to step aside. Moving to the side and giving the center to the hero of the Forge.“Everyone seems to be here already.” Zeke began as he looked around. There isn’t much for his eyes to gaze at. Only the three dark elves and their respective horses. That which they will ride on their way to the elven kingdom. These horses have armor placed over them. Not heavy ones that would burden the beasts but, rather, enchanted ones. Allowing the horses to run faster and be able to last longer on the journey. Not only this but the armor actually does
Zeke’s group continued their journey until they reached a point where the sun is already peeking through the horizon. There is no stop nor rest within the interval between this. Just pure movement which is guided by Aries who leads their way. The dark elf who holds their map and, is also the one who is telling them which path is safe and which isn’t.The efficiency of this same dark elf cannot be looked down on as well. Compared to the hero of the Forge who needs to look at his minimap from time to time, Aries has the entirety of it memorized at the back of her head. Not in the simple way but in the most detailed version possible. As a citizen of the Forge, Aries has dedicated a portion of her life into understanding the terrain and, all the things that come with them as well. This means that Zeke won’t have trouble figuring out which parts are dangerous because, Aries already has this covered for him.The best part about this is that, Aries can do this even in the dark. That’s right.
The group of elves that entered into the forest are ones who are under the direct command of the queen. As such, it is also the queen’s orders that they are following. The same queen that told them that they need to take care of Zeke before he reaches the Elven kingdom. The thing is that, even though the heroes cannot be killed within each other’s respective kingdoms, once outside the walls, that rule doesn’t apply anymore. Not in the literal sense but in a more figurative one. After all, there are no eyes that can witness what happens in the territories already owned by the demons. As such, should Zeke fall here, it can easily be dismissed that he has been killed by monsters. That won’t happen so easily though. As long as Zeke has allies with him and, as long as at least one of them survives an ambush, then the news will reach the kingdom that houses the hero or heroine that’s killed. This would instantly make the hero-killing nation an enemy of all other nations. That is why it isn
The group led by Claudius is scattered across the forest, just as what’s been reported to him by Berthold, the other members are out scouting while the rest are hunting for extra provision. This tactic is due to the consideration that, there is a very high possibility for the hero of the Forge to leave the kingdom of the dark elves after a couple more days of preparation. No. That is the only logical option that this hero can take. In the minds of those who think properly, there is no way that the hero would be able to leave earlier. After all, once the request for an audience reaches the ears of the hero and the higher authorities of Forge, they would first be shaken. Afterwards they would think of all the moves they can make, none of which would make sense to their miniscule minds. This is what’s normal. They are right on the first part of course. The dark elves were shaken by the news. In fact, when Sylvia received it, she could barely think straight anymore. That is the kind of i
“One down.”Aries said these words as soon as the arrow left her bow. The projectile launched itself towards the target in such a blinding speed that, only after a millisecond, it already hit Martin. That is how quick the attack is. And with this swiftness also comes a silence. A tearing through the wind that is so soft and gentle that you’d think it is nothing more than a small razor that’s cutting through it, nothing bigger than that. But that’s not the case. What cut through it is far more lethal and Martin died as soon as the arrow made contact with him. He didn’t even realize it. That his head is no longer properly intact. That there is now an arrow that’s pierced through his brain. Breaking through all of his defenses as the elf fell to the ground. Reduced to nothing more than a lifeless corpse as the two elves that hunted him down finally began to close in.“Man, that’s really a wasted arrow if I ever did see one.” Silver commented. “Let’s not, okay?” Aries answered back. They
