The smoke that Zeke created served him a multitude of purposes. But the main one that it served is a means for him to hide. He did this while recovering both his stamina and his mana. Quite frankly, his body is feeling a recoil from the illusion, almost as if he actually went through all of this.It made him regret killing the elf right away. He could’ve probably gotten a couple of interesting information from this person. But then again, his decision may have been for the better. After all, if he allows the elf to live, there’s a high chance that he would be caught in an illusion again. And when that happens, he doesn’t know if he’d be able to escape as cleanly as the first time. The smoke slowly dissipated and dispersed. This allowed Zeke to see everything clearly again and, with this also comes his setting of new traps that can be used. All of which are properly laid to create the perfect opportunity for him when an enemy comes. Though that isn’t what happened next. The one that c
“My lord!”These are the first words that came out of Aries’ lips as soon as she woke up. She scanned the nearby surroundings with her heart racing as fast as it could. Her mind is still focused on the fight that has just finished and so, her body is also acting accordingly. Wary of everything and ready to strike at any given moment as she also searched for her bow and arrows. Though these aren’t the first things she found.“Someone’s really jumpy.” Zeke’s voice immediately made Aries eyes focus on the direction that it came from and, surely enough, the person she’s looking for is there. Zeke sat on the far side of where she is, nursing Silver who seem to have woken up before her.“Are you safe my lord? Have you encountered any elves?”“You really have the time to be worrying about others when you’re left in that state?” Zeke chuckled right as soon as he finished saying these words.Meanwhile, the dark elf is slowly beginning to gain back her consciousness. Though the last thing she r
Zeke’s allies continued to recover. They took a couple of days to do this which wasn’t wasted or anything. The group continued their way towards the elven kingdom, taking up the same route that is within the forest. They didn’t take any detour anymore because of the reason that Zeke raised to them.He told them that it is highly unlikely for a new group to attack them because, the first one seemed to be an elite corps already that’s been sent as the only means of stopping Zeke and his allies. This already failed so Zeke doubts that there would be a next one after that. His allies easily subscribed to this idea because it is right. They made their way on the path and, as they did, they continued recovering. Due to the lack of enemies, this came smoothly and without any delays. Furthermore, they also became stronger because of the same medicine that Zeke gave them. Ones that have this description:[Item Name: Mana Elixir][Item Type: Medicine][Information: Only has an effect on those w
A gigantic tree. That is the first thing that Zeke noticed when they arrived in the kingdom of the elves. Within the middle of the kingdom is a tree that is larger and taller than anything he has ever encountered and, that in itself would be an understatement to how large it is.To be more precise, it is like a skyscraper but a bulk of ten that’s put together. That is how wide the space it consumes is and, that is how high it goes as well. Needless to say this is a natural roof to everything that it covers. Not the whole of the kingdom for that would be too much but, rather, the middle of it. The center of the kingdom which, Zeke believes, is also where the castle of the Elven monarchs is located. He's already been given a briefing by Sylvia on what he’s to expect in this place. Zeke knows that the monarch isn’t someone whom he should get into a heated argument with. The elven king is a seasoned warrior and probably the best swordsman in the entirety of the elven kingdom while, the qu
The group unpacked their things in the room that’s assigned to them. There are a total of two rooms given. One is for Zeke’s allies while the other one is for Zeke himself. However, the hero of Forge immediately requested that this be changed and that, they all stay in a single room. His reason for this is because they won’t be staying there long. He told them that since this is so, it would be better for them to be together. That way they won’t consume too much space and would also be less problematic for the elves to tend to after they leave. The elves agreed to this easily. There’s no reason for them to go against it when it is in their favor. The less space that the dark elves use up in their kingdom, the better it is for them. That is the thought behind it and, of course, the queen agreed to it as well.As for the real reason why they’re doing it however, Zeke wanted this to make sure that all four of them are safe. Now that they are inside enemy territory, it would be easy for t
“My lord!”This is the greeting made to Zeke as soon as he came back to the room where his allies stayed at. He told them to fix themselves there and to refuse any sort of room service or food that’d be offered until he returns. Though this may seem like being too cautious, Zeke just can’t afford making any mistakes at that point. Even if just one of his three allies get killed from something like food poisoning or other methods, that’s already a victory on the part of the elves. He doesn’t want that. He doesn’t want to give the bastards the kind of satisfaction that can come from it. That’s why he’s being this meticulous. That being said, Silver is the first one to greet him when he arrived. She did so in such an upbeat tone that you’d think Zeke just came back from the dead or something. But nothing that dramatic ever happened. It was just a normal conversation with the queen of the elves nothing more. “How did the meeting go with the queen, my lord?” Aries asked.“Well…” Zeke cl
The time for dinner soon approached for everyone. Zeke prepared his allies for this event. He made sure that Caster looked decent and, also ensured that Aries and Silver are wearing the right type of clothes. The hair, the nails, everything that can be fixed are done so by Zeke.As he did this, the queen also made her way to the dinning hall. Though she did stop in her room for a while. Sitting in front of the mirror as her lover fixed himself behind her.“Elizabeth. You know that I love you dearly and that I’d do anything for you but…”“Yes, you will do anything for me Sylph. That’s why you’re going to come with me to this dinner.” The queen replied. Cutting the other elf from whatever it was that he was about to say. After all, the queen knows that Sylph has a good way of playing with words. She can’t have this elf making her head run around in circles before they go to the dinning hall. “You don’t expect me to face those backwater dark elves all by myself do you? What if they sudd
Here is a full rundown of what happened before Queen Elizabeth and Sylph arrived at the ball that they’re hosting to humiliate the hero of the forge as well as his subordinates.Zeke and his allies came there early. Too early in fact that no other high ranking noble has arrived yet. What’s more, the preparations of the elves aren’t even finished yet. They were told to leave but Zeke insisted that they had nothing better to do and would rather just sit at a corner of the ball grounds instead of going back to their room. It’s easy to just ignore this and force Zeke to go back nevertheless but, there are two things that got Zeke’s back.First is that he is a hero. He isn’t just some normal run off the mill human. He is a human that’s destined to defeat the demon lord. Bestowed with the grace of a specific gone which grants him a portion of divinity as well. This in itself is already a strong enough reason for the elves to deny him entrance but, Zeke knows that it isn’t enough. That’s why
