“One down.”

Aries said these words as soon as the arrow left her bow. The projectile launched itself towards the target in such a blinding speed that, only after a millisecond, it already hit Martin. That is how quick the attack is. And with this swiftness also comes a silence. A tearing through the wind that is so soft and gentle that you’d think it is nothing more than a small razor that’s cutting through it, nothing bigger than that.

But that’s not the case. What cut through it is far more lethal and Martin died as soon as the arrow made contact with him. He didn’t even realize it. That his head is no longer properly intact. That there is now an arrow that’s pierced through his brain. Breaking through all of his defenses as the elf fell to the ground. Reduced to nothing more than a lifeless corpse as the two elves that hunted him down finally began to close in.

“Man, that’s really a wasted arrow if I ever did see one.” Silver commented.

“Let’s not, okay?” Aries answered back.
