A giant dragon figures out with gray scales and lazuli eyes gazing arrogantly at us. His body was shrouded in a thin layer of black smoke that seemed to emerge from the cracks of his scales. His mane was made of black flames and his breath was so cold, that it could burn and exfoliate the skin at the same time. 3 horns like coils of coals sticking out from each side of his head. Jawzahr is the dragon's name.
Jawzahr is the dragon responsible for eclipses in Persian mythology. Jawzahr led an army of evil spirits to chase and devour the sun and moon in the sky at regular intervals. The greedy dragon had also drunk the elixir of immortality that angered the gods before beheaded off his head with a disc. Jawzahr plays almost the same role as the story in the main quest 9 Guardians. He still plays the antagonist role but in a different version.
...
Jawzahr fainted shortly after Yooga, the character of Yoga in 9 Guardians, hit a shield right on his head, but after waking up he was furious. Jawzahr spun around several times while swinging his tail. My hands are wet with sweat from moving the mouse to avoid the dragon's attack. Unfortunately, this giant dragon has a fast movement and a slash of its tail causes a poisoning debuff. I tried to learn the attack pattern of this dragon. As the dragon slid straight at me, there was an attack that caused a slow debuff of about 10 seconds. Yoga kept on screaming, giving instructions to attack the dragon and dodge at almost the same time. This made me even more panicked and scared.
"The dragon moveso fast!" Several times Monck was hit by attacks that made his movements slow to the point of having difficulty dodging the next attack.
"You are very stupid! Good grief…!" We lost for the umpteenth time.
We fought the dragon for almost 30 minutes until Yooga was hit by a burst of fire which caused our team to fall and have to start over. "He's so fast!" Furthermore, my nervousness and fear were the perfect combinations to cause us to lose. “One of the dragon attacks makes Monck's movement slow. I don't know where the dragon is going to attack. The tail continues to move and the slash makes Monck poisoned. I keep getting hit by those attacks!” Monck is killed by the poisonous effect of its tail.
"Beware of the AOE!" Yoga is getting up. He reached for a bottle of water from the refrigerator in the corner of the room.
"AOE?"
“AOE is an Area of Effect. When the boss is about to attack there is a certain area that would change color. This color change is a warning and a hint, that it is in this area that the boss's attacks will have an impact. We will be safe if we avoid the area; if we remain silent, our fate will be the same as yours. Some attacks only drain health points! Yoga said, pointing to the top-right blue bar. "If it reaches zero or runs out, you're done. Some attacks can also have unique effects. As you say, one of them is slow. This is a debuff; the effect will essentially be negative for us, debuff is an opponent of buffs. Other examples are burning, poisoning, freezing, and even instant death.”
"That is dangerous. I have to avoid it.”
"One more. Don't attack before the tanks attack!”
"Tank?" Is this a tank as I thought?
"You don't know the role in this game?!"
This is the first game I played. Previously I played cards on the computer or chess. All these terms are very confusing to me. "I know, just bow".
Yoga shouted, moments later he seemed almost crying. "God... why did he bring a caveman to me!".
...
Yoga is explained to me in a party or team consisting of 4 players, namely tanks, 2 DPS, and support. In some cases, support is a role that is dropped to become a tank, 2 DPS melee, and LRD or Long Range Damage. “I'm a tank,” Yoga said, making me want to laugh. “The tank's main job is to attract and keep aggro. This is why, during a battle, we must wait for the tank to attack first. If DPS attacks first, the monsters will attack him back. Aggro will disperse, and the team will most likely be killed. When the boss is dealing with a tank, two DPS melee will attack from behind, while DPS LRD which is usually filled by an archer, bowgun, or mage will attack from a safe distance and give support skills like increase attack, resist, and critical for DPS and tank."
"So I'm a DPS LRD?" Yoga nodded.
“Attack from a safe distance, give team buffs, heal and remove debuffs. That is your job!”
I feel like it's a lot of work. “That's a lot.”
“Yes, We rarely invite support players to a team. Although their abilities are very good, for some bosses that need fast kills this will take more time to defeat the monster or boss. Mage and archer are not pure support, but they can take skill buffs to help DPS melee.”
Neo came in with several boxes of food while we were discussing. "She appears to be making great progress?"
"Reasonable!" I smiled happily when I heard Yoga's answer. "Pretty much makes me dizzy!" Neo laughed.
"How's Han?".
“Yeah… I'll try!” I say, still confused as to how I finally came to like this game. Even though it failed many times, getting attacked by a dragon until my HP ran out, even having to scream in fear where the dragon was chasing me and being hit until I got poison debuff effect."I'd like to try it once more before dinner." I'm curious about how to play this game.
“Okay.”
While I was getting ready with my computer, Yoga returned to his phone. "Give me 15 minutes to understand Monck's skills!" Monck lost 29 level cap character slots, but it would seem that Graff has a level 40 character prepared for me. "Ok, Ready!"
I read the explanations for every skill that Monck has mastered. I don't understand why Graf made Monck master these skills. Monck's tier 1 skill is moeba shoot, which has a water element that gives monsters a slow debuff for 10 seconds in level 10. Armor destroyer skills for tier 3 that could give a 100% chance of armor break debuff for level 10 and destruction shots for tier 5. In addition to these 3 main skills, Monck also has other skills that are not derived from bow skills, the majority of which are buff skills. Read the explanation carefully for the skill, the effect of the attack, the duration, and other information. I remember one of Graf's videos on how to set up combo attacks, though I'm not sure how I tried to set up my combos. However, I'm not sure how I tried to set up my combos. I think it will work if I combine one skill with another and give the effect or debuff of each attack while taking the monster's attack pattern into account. We've fought the dragon about seven times now, and I've noticed a pattern of attacks that are sometimes carried out in succession.
"Okay, done!" just hoping what I've done is good enough to destroy the dragon.
Monck and Yooga re-entered the battle arena. I waited until Yooga attacked first by standing behind him
“Start!”
Yooga did the first attack for taking aggro. Using a canon shield, he smashes the head of Jawzahr with his shield until made the dragon faint because the debuff stun for 10 seconds affects this skill. I took advantage of the opportunity right away. I was brought Monck dash behind Jawzahr and used moeba shoot, a skill that gave a slow debuff to anticipate Jawzahr's attack when the dragon was awake. Next, I used skills to recover mana points while attacking the dragon. With full mana points, it would make me easier to spam skills. Then use the main skill that I hope could destroy this dragon, the destruction shoot that needs a 15-second charge.
While waiting for the destruction shoot ready, I used skills that gave paralysis debuffs to decrease the dragon's dodge and provided support skills to increase physical and magical resistance for Yooga. At the same time, I tried my best to avoid dragon attacks. Jawzahr's attack pattern is well-known to me. After 15 seconds, I start the attack combo. Use a skill that increases my attack, accuracy, and critical, but give a burning debuff for 10 seconds which will drain 5% of the max total HP every 1 second as an opener combo. This skill was combined with a skill that gives an armor-destroying effect to reduce monster defense and the last one is destruction shoot as an annihilation skill to destroy Jawzahr. It worked, the dragon was killed with just one shot, Yoga turned to me, staring with a smile.
“YOU SEE THAT?!” Yoga screamed.
"Wow...," Neo ruffled my hair. "Where did you learn?”.
“Just, arrange a combo of the skills that Graf had set in Monck.”
“He made that character?” I nodded.
"Yes, level 40".
"Han…!" Yoga is still looking at me with a smile. "This is your first game?"
"Yes!" This is the first online game I have played.
"She usually plays cards or chess on the computer," Noe was right.
"Really…!!" Yoga looks like doubt about what Neo has said.
I don't know if what I just did was good or not. I just thought when the dragon was defeated and got the reward then it was good.
"What do you think?" Neo asks Yoga.
“So fast!” Yoga looks at me. "No. I mean..." he looked confused. 'Was what I just did wrong?'. “Her strategy, combo skills, survive, analysis,” he turned to me. "That guy isn't playing around!". I don't understand what they mean.
"This is just a game, isn't it?" Games are games. Like card games, I usually play chess with the computer.
“Yeah…, it's just a game. Do not worry about it. Now let's eat!" Neo gave me a pack of karage.
...
We returned to the dorm at almost midnight. Yoga taught me a lot about the 9 Guardians before we came back. He, who had previously been angry and arrogant, suddenly became gentle and explained everything he knew about the 9 Guardians in detail. He completely changed after we defeated Jawzahr.
"Can I ask a question?"
"Yes?" Neo doesn't take his focus off driving.
"Is this game very popular?" I'm curious.
“In Indonesia, it is not very popular. Even in its home country, this game is inferior to other games.”
"Then?".
"This game is very popular in Germany, England, Holland, and I can't remember where else," Neo said as he turned toward me. "If you like analyzing and doing things that require precision like you do when programming, I guarantee you'll like this!" I tried to take in everything Neo said. "There are a lot of calculations here, and you'll probably think it's the second world."
“Can the hacker be caught?”
"The chances are extremely slim." Although this game is very popular outside of Japan, the case handling is extremely slow. Many are neglected."
I had hoped to get an hour or two of sleep after returning home from the hospital, but it appears that plan failed. A message from the bank arrived on my phone. The boy isn't fooling around. He had already deposited funds into my account. That means I can't go back. Back off, or I'll have to return all of the money. I need that money right now. I guess as long as this job isn't too bad, I'll take it.“Should I start playing now?”Yoga is very busy. Of course, I can't disturb him. He said he would only help me from Friday to Sunday, the rest Graf would teach me.I began browsing on a whim. Neo sent me a link to a website with information about the 9 Guardians, including discussion forums. I immediately asked to join the forum, hoping that someone would assist me if I got into trouble. It didn't take long to wait; only 30 minutes later, somebody added me.“Hi… dear, welcome to 9 Guardians Indonesian!!” Someone, or perhaps an engine, messaged me!“Thank you for letting me join this group
What's behind the wooden door isn't something that I ever thought about before. As soon as we opened the door, we were greeted by a misty swamp. Hundreds of white storks flew like a mob of moths, then perched on a fallen tree trunk. It happened maybe because they heard the noise of our footsteps. Various small animals such as frogs and water bugs moved away as we stepped into the middle of the swamp. Phantom asked us not to split up. He said the boss could hide anywhere and if one of us might accidentally pull out the aggro, he could easily take over. "Where are the nuts?!" Evo looks very impatient. I looked around but found nothing but solid white fog. "I can beat the nut with just one slash!" Evo said so arrogantly. A red arrow appeared beneath my feet. "What is this?" I pointed at the arrow. Phantom threw the shield he was carrying in front of me in one direction. The sound of cracking tree trunks filled the silent swamp, accompanied by a deafening screech. "Stay right here!" He
This is bad, Phantom's remaining HP is not more than 10% of the maximum total HP he has. This was a huge disaster for us because of the frozen debuff he got from Charmain that decreased his evasion, and dodge, which makes his movement become slow. Evo turned to face me, and I'm sure he was thinking the same thing I was. 'Who should hold the aggro?!'"Help Phantom please..!!"I understand what Evo means. We immediately split up, with me running towards Phantom and Evo moving in the opposite direction. Evo distracted Charmain and it worked. He spams skills so his aggro easily goes up compared to me and Phantom. Give time for me to help Phantom recover his HP by using the heal skill."Enough, Monck!" HP Phantom may not be fully recovered, only 45% of the maximum total HP he has. I looked at Evo, he didn't make a single hit. Just dodging as often as he could from Charmain's every attack. "Charmain has immunity when hp above 30%, while 30% below Charmain's resistance will increase. Require
The day I had dreaded had arrived. We gathered near the celestial tower around 8 P.M., filled with doubts, and fears. If we were brave and lucky enough to face Charmain the day before, success now seems improbable. “We will wait for my friend!” I requested that they wait for Graf. I lied to them that Graf would be joining our team, even though Graf just wanted to know about their understanding and equipment quality. "Is this person just your friend in the game?" Asked Phantom. "He's my senior. We took the same major in college,” I can't tell them in depth. One of the rules in 9 Guardians is that no accounts may be shared. It will be a problem in the future if they discover Monck is not my real account. Finally, Graf arrived, he used an account with IGN Lucia_27. The character's appearance is very cute and honestly, that makes me jealous. 'Why isn't Monck made as cute as Lucia?!' My heart is crying. The appearance of character Monk is a masculine male between 20-25 years old, who h
"He will be unable to attend tonight. Because his friend was absent today, he was asked to replace him!" Evo couldn't join us tonight, he is still at work. Phantom asked me to stop waiting for him. "For this week, our schedule is to help you reach level 70!".“Okay!”Phantom told me that the location we were going to was quite far away from a savepoint. He asked me to bring enough supplies and all the equipment that I would use because we won't be able to buy it if we run out of supplies. "What monster will we face later?" I'm curious."This mini-boss is one of the dragons who appeared and destroyed Filanesia city in the main quest of the 9 Guardians. Its base element is fire, but this dragon has a dark elemental attack that deals extremely dangerous fatal damage. The AOE is a little longer before the skill is active, so tanks can easily interrupt!" I don't understand what dragon Phantom means, because neither Graff nor Yoga have not given me a permit to do the main quest yet."Are t
When Luna became angry, the tiny fire dragon was able to kill our mental and courage to continue this grinding. Phantom asked to kick Alex from our team, a member with the job as a knight. He flees after being hit by a single attack from Luna before the fight is over. "Is there any problem?" Phantom's performance in the celestial tower against Jawzahr was far superior to his performance against Luna. With all of the new equipment and the lower mini-boss level, I can say Phantom's game appears sloppy and is very detrimental to DPS. He kept allowing Luna to use lethal area skills and even the aggro that was released several times."Knights, I hate them!" Phantom appeared enraged at the knights who fled in the middle of the fight."Is it because he insulted you?" I'm curious about what made Phantom so enraged. Phantom is quieter in many ways than Evo. If it makes him angry, it's no longer a minor issue."He keeps stealing my interrupts. The main skill of a knight in this game is obtaine
"RMT, or Real Money Trading, is the act of buying and selling items in a game using real money, which includes the game's currency itself. Some MMORPG games allow this, while others do not. 9 Guardians is one of them. Although it is illegal, the business continues to thrive. This is due to several factors: a Weak surveillance system, most 9 Guardians players didn't have much time to spend playing this game, very slow game progress, a heavy grinding system, and intense market competition. All players must have a large amount of gold. Gold is used to purchase equipment and other items. If they didn't have gold, it was almost certain that their equipment was inadequate, making it difficult for players to play the game. They must sacrifice hours of work and play in 9 Guardians to obtain gold. Farming for days and fighting bosses for rare items that take hours is impossible for them. The players' desire to survive in 9 Guardians for various reasons, as well as their refusal to switch to a
I know Evo and Phantom won't log in at this hour. Evo could be still in college or working, while Phantom could be still finishing up his final project. In Finalesia, which is always crowded with players, I walk alone. I'd tried to remember where the blacksmith NPC (Not a Playable Character) is, the NPC synthetic to make a consume buff or combine dye items, the library where I can learn and up my skills, where the storage NPC was, and the market where I can sell items.Soothing music made me lulled a little, but all that attracted me to this city is the large statue in the middle of the town square. A valiant knight with a shield and sword on a white horse. I don't know who he is. Yoga and Graf forbade me to play the main quest until my level reached 200. They wanted me to reach max level using the point experience that I gained from the MQ (Main Quest). Perhaps this is in stark contrast to the advice given by so many YouTube channels to beginners to complete MQ first, but when we thi
