The soft wheezing of Frank matched the rhyme jor the car engine. They had been out all night. And finally, he could not be anymore grateful for the fact they were returning back home. It was such a long ride but he did not mind the distance it took. So far they’d get home. And then he’d settle for a hot bath.

The chatter of his parents in the front seat did not bother him. He was far from home for him to notice. Their vehicle hummed along the path, the deserted road as they went home. Their speed trailed high enough such that if there was a traffic police on the road here, they’d pull them over.

Still, all was well that went well. This was what he liked to think. Unfortunately, today was not one of those days.
