A fight between two giants has the grass to suffer. It is not too late to remind you to read ASCENDERS: RISING TO HERO
“Ha!” Lee barked as he suddenly ducked to the ground. With the swiftness of the wind, his body bent down. He dashed forward. Energy hummed at his fisted hands, his body traversing the distance between himself and Frank. “Blast!” Lee roared out. His body pushed forward in a lunge. He threw his left hand forward, aiming for the middle of Frank’s chest. Frank reacted immediately. He bent quickly, pushing his chest inside as he tried to get away. But that was not it. At that same moment, Lee smiled dangerously. His right hand dashed forward in a flick of a second It aimed upwards, in a curve. It angled off the jaw of Frank, taking advantage of the evasion of the first attack. BOOM! “aGH!” Frank groaned out as his jaw shifted. His body popped up from the ground, the force cannon launched into his jaw ejecting him further. Lee attacked the second time but this time he was ready. Stunned and dazed, Lee went for a second attack. He was faster. And vicious. His second fist r
“No” Leslie moaned softly as she tried to rise from the bed. BLow after blow, she saw the quick wittedness of the boys and the foolishness thereof as they exchanged blows to one another. They wrecked havoc, shattering jaws and smashing faces. All of it happened within seconds. Minutes. The one who stayed just a little lesser, spent more time was the one who had a punch smashed into his face. She groaned, trying to rise from the bed once more. Her body denied her, She fell back with a pained expression. All of this, it was her fault. She was failing. Just like before. She could do nothing. Nothing. Tears streamed out of her eyes. Hot as they tore down her cheeks. Down curling lips. Sad faced as she struggled to rise again. And again. But even her limbs sang to her of her uselessness. Of her failure in doing just one thing right. The only thing she knew how to do was get out there and fight. Nothing on the side of diplomacy. For this reason, Lekan was not at the Bureau. . It
Helen smiled at her. “Look At you clutching your side.” She pointed at Leslie “And you want to take on a fight? Come on. Boys will Boys. Their egos would always get ahead of them. You cannot do anything about that.” She mentioned. “I brought you out of there because I adore you, Leslie but don't force me to face you.” “Or what?” Leslie asked, intrigued by the boldness of this girl. “Please don't force my hand.” She warned her softly. Helen didn't take this warning. Rather she stretched her hands up above her head. Blackish purple light sparked out of her eyes as her system activated,.With a heave, the corridor darkened. Even the light bulbs went out in explosions, turning the whole space pitch balck. Leslie panicked. Quickly, she jerked her hands forward, a wave of light shards shooting out to wedge a little demarcation between them. It gave her lightIt illuminated them with just some tiny bit of brightness, enough for her to see. Enough for her to see the shadow demons in the
“Qu'est-ce que je vois ?” Monsieur Demas asked as he watched the screen right before him. His mouth was wide apart in shock and always in excitement as he witnessed the ongoing battle between the two boys. The destruction was quickly racking up some thousands of dollars worth but it was exciting to watch. The Bureau always prided itself having people determined to see that the system they hosted evolved more than i was capable . It Was on this mantra that the BUreau survived the entire time since the decades past until these times. Until these times that the modern age called the indomie generation. He smirked, leaning back in his office chair. Wearing his usual attire, he watched the screen, his hands tapping against one another while someone walked in. “Monsieur sir, It is interesting, don't you think?” he asked him. The face was the face of someone Blessin was familiar with. It was the face of Monsieur Dayo as he walked in with his all black clothing. “What do you want me
The rage in his eyes. The hate and the heated combustion as his punches rocked through the air, shattering inertia to his face. He felt all of it. The heat and the power behind each punch that came out from Frank. Despite the fact that he was one handed. The difference between the two of them was beyond crystal clear. He saw it. Now, he doubted if he picked a fight he could win. It would be better if he had stayed away from Frank. Just stayed away from him and continued to tease Leslie, exacting his anger on her. Rahat ethan tagging this newcomer in. Frank was a beast. He knew it. In a way, he derived savage satisfaction from the hits rolling out of his hand. His hand slammed forward, tingling with the dcitment. With Each slam, the hits he hurled out evoked more blood. More splatter of the life fluid from the face of hsi target. It brought him happiness. Joy, savage joy. His hand took some damage as he continued to lash out. The fact that he put all of that strain into one hand t
At the sound of the heavy thump, Doctor May nearly fainted. The hospital was on a complete stand still. Those who could move picked their phones out to record the battle scene up above. And those who had the sense of doing something about the event quickly took out their phones to place calls. All amidst them, the aura of fear took route. All of them were scared but yet, none could muster the courage to scream out the repulsive energy that ransacked their boldness in the face of this. A smoke cloud and an explosion was not a regular event in a hospital. They did not know how to react to it. Dr May did not know either. So when she heard the thump beside her, her heart skipped a beat. Her eyes widened a sha sight in the sight of the boy. The same boy who was brought into the hospital the other time. The same boy with injuries and wounds all over him. It took the hospital staff some time to get him into recuperation. He was short on blood. Yet, now again, he was all battered up. Th
Subtle steps, the man in black shirt and trousers walked forward. The audience of the battle scene were driven with a mad frenzy. It was almost interesting to watch, that is, if the people involved did not get the attention of the Head of the Bureau. Now, he was dispatched to end their battle. It had drawn out for far too long. It was even a miracle how the other partner was still holding up to the brute force of this new guy. It was only a testament to the strength of the other guy. Of the Western guy he was pitted unfairly against the new guy. He did not know them much. He knew neither of them in fact. His work was based away from the complex of the Bureau. Hardly enough time for him to know who was who in the Bureau complex. Not that he complained about it. His work was one of a kind, after all, he held the future of the Bureau, literally. Secretive and it required him to be like that too. And even now, he was on it. Moving through their ranks, they watched the battle, filled
The screen began to appear in his face. Then like before, the same status appeared, only to show the end result. His skill failed. And for the first time since he got here, Dayo frowned. Now this was something he did not bargain for. “Inquiry!” He chanted. If there was a reason why his skill failed, then the next skill he had would provide the reason for the failure. This was the power for the Inquiry, its sole function was to probe the reason why things failed. Whether it was for him or someone else. [Inquiry In Effect… Please wait…] [Failed- Reason: Passive skill - Immunity] “Immunity?” Dayo gasped. “He is immune to my system? What the heck?” “I need more data on that. Inquiry.” “What?” Dayo shook his head in worry as a new status popped up out before him. [Passive Skill- Immunity has blocked your attempts at accessing the system interface for target.] He gulped as the stream of Mana connected to himself and Frank broke off. At the same time, Frank heaved, holding Lee
