We have gotten to the middle of this books. It’s time to sound out all the hidden plots of this novel. See you along the way. Cheers!
“Ahhhhhh…”“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhuu…”“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…”“Hhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa…” The distinct scream from Blesing continued tumbling through the air as her body quickly lost balance. In a fit of fear, she had jumped. Unwilling to find out what was coming after her. Or even what made that sound at all. The initial thoughts about this being a game completely eluded her now. She would rather be close to the one who brought her here. Than be away and be under attack by something strange. How would she explain herself to Lekan for not being able to reach him? That it was because of something strange which roared at her? Certainly not in the works.“Ahhhhhhhhhh…”“Yeow!” She howled out in pain as her body slammed into a jutting rock. Before bouncing off for another protruding rock.THUD!“Ouch!”THUDDDD!“Agghhhh!” She grumbled non stop just as he continued to bounce form one rock to another. The pain was sudden. Searing and instant. She screamed out her dissatisfaction about this g
“What?” Blessing gasped out. She looked at Dayo now. But the latter was gone. Her heart missed a beat as she panicked. She instantly swerved around, trying to locate him. But to No avail.“No… no, not again!” She grunted.Only for her eyes to catch the sight of something in black below her. It brought her relief. This time, she jumped down. Luckily for her, the distance was not that far until she got to actual ground.Only rolling in when she came to the ground. This time, she was thankful for the exercises she had with Monsieur Louise. It was so far helping her in being able to twist her body so that she was able to roll. Without having to experience the same thing she experienced when she jumped down, the first time. “So what’s the idea now?” She asked, running after Dayo. The man continued to walk, without looking back at her. When he finally acknowledged her presence , he had that annoying smile on. “Stop following me.” He mentioned it to her. “What?” She stopped short in surp
“Ah!” Blessing yelped as he pulled her hand.Without a warning form him, his body soared through the air. His feet effortlessly slapping against the ground while his hand continued to grip into her.It was very uncomfortable for her. Considering how very tightly he clutched on to her. She wanted to yell at him. But on second thoughts, he was only doing this for her own benefit. So she shoved it down her own throat, enduring until they got under the cover. For a second or two, the bombardment outside continued. The atmosphere rose up in heat. It got very uncomfortable even to the point of her sweating. Which brought back the question to her. If Dayo was indeed right, the how come she was feeling the uncomfortable heat of the flame bombardment out there?Did that not mean that this place was very dangerous to just anyone? And that the things in here could very much hurt her?Even though he said the trauma of a thing, she did not want to try it. At least, based one the type of uncomfort
“Uh…” Lekan groaned now.He tried to open his eyes but it felt so heavy. Why did it feel so damn heavy? What happened? Why did it every thing feel so very distant from him?He tried to make sense of it but the more he tried, the least he could do. He was tired. It felt very tiring even for him to think. His mind would not just settle. The smell of medicine started to attack his nose. Wah was it? How was it possible that he would gain his consciousness now and he would smell medicine? What happened?BEEP!Beep!!The continuous beeping sounds started to echo out in his ears. He found that very annoying he wished it would just go off but then… there was not nothing he could do about it. The more he thought about it, the more fatigue rushed into his mind.He just wanted to sleep. But at the same time, it felt so wrong for him to sleep. He had to wake up. He had been asleep for far too long? What even happened? Lekan tried to think again. All he saw was pitch darkeness that greeted him.
The yell from Lekan was disheartening. Even to her. She had been by his bedside, refusing to leave even when she had almost been dragged away. No amount of threat or promise would make her leave. Now, everything paid off. Lekan was back. Unfortunately, he was not back to himself yet. At least, not the way she wanted. Not the Lekanwho would be bothered by her staying at the bedside. Not the Lekan who would be concerned about her questions. This one was distant. And lost. Pain stuck her heart as she witnessed the yell from him. The arching of his back and the crazied expresion from him. The sounds of footsteps marching into the room disrupted her thought process, seeing the nurses rush in. Obviously disturbed by the sudden yell from him. She gasped for breath just as she was nudged away unceremoniously. Though not consciously. The nurses who rushed in did not give a second thought as they all clustered around his bed.“What’s wrong with him?” Several voices rose all at once. She c
“I’m sorry. What?” May was charged up as she moved up to him. Anger was vividly displayed through her furrowed eyebrows and twisted lips.Even Favor was charged up as well. The latter who had been silent only fuming. Her lips slightly ajar in disbelief at this.It was his guts for May. She was stunned at the alacrity he displayed in coming in here. The fact that he had no human feelings to even say something like that. In the sight of the boy who was only recovering was annoying to her.His recovery ought to be outmost priority so what was he talking about? And whatever gave him the guts to get in here and say something like that, Something as ludicrous as that? Who wouldeven believe that? Which was why she could not place her head around it. How was it possible that he would come in here to say something like that and he so confident about it? She was angered ag it. That was why she held her hands back lest it went out against her face.Prof Bumj had a smile on his face. As if he
Livid did not cut it for him. He was beyond pissed. And he was tired. Tired of the fact that bumju was busy playing around. Like this was all some sort of fun for him. Something which he did not find very funny. And so. The inevitable happened. He lost his cool and that was it. His voice went out all out against the man, ignoring the age difference between the two of them. He was Nigerian on and out. And from this part of the world, there was a strong concept of respect for the elders. It was drummed into the ears of the children right from a young age. And he was no exception. He was no exception, especially when he attended a boarding school. That only complicates things. Thus after his yell at the man, the next thing he felt was the intense guilt that overtook him. He wanted to apologize instantly, his lips splitting already to spill out the words. Then he remembered that man was basically smiling through all of this. Though he did not expect much from him, the least that c
“What is the condition now?” Lekan asked again. He was tired of waiting at this juncture now. He wanted to know hate as applicable now. Especially since he saw the lady Beatrice in the room now. And the fact that she spoke on needing him with them as some sort of evidence. Perhaps, they were in trouble and his coming with them would prove to be sufficing for them. He wished it was within his power to refuse whatever they wanted to hurl at him. Just so that he would be able to see them get into that trouble. The trouble they were avoiding getting into by getting him with them. But that was beyond him for now. At least, he would have to be with them. AT the Bureau for him to know what was happening there. And unless he went there, with them which was what they wanted, he would never know. What Was even the probability that they were using a system on him to influence his thoughts process as of now? “Don't think that far.” Lekan breathed to himself. It was hurting to think of th
